On January 10, 1987, Jaime Cardinal Sin, the Archbishop of Manila, created the Parish of Our Lady of Consolation and entrusted it under the pastoral care of the Augustinian Recollect Fathers. Our Lady of Consolation was chosen as the Patroness of the newly-established Parish because it is under this title that the Blessed Mother is venerated by the Augustinian Recollects. The church has a two-fold

service to the community: a field for apostolate and a training ground for pastoral formation. From May 2003 up to the present, the Parish has been administered by Rev. The feast day of the Parish is on the first Sunday of September.
