The Young Franciscan Advocates representatives attended the Federation of National Youth Organization (FNYO) General Assembly and 35th Anniversary Celebration held on November 22, 2025 at Don Antonio de Zuzuarregui Sr. Memorial Academy (DAZMA), Antipolo, Rizal.

The program began with a roll call followed by an animation of the National Youth Day theme song, “Katood ni Ina.” Participants were then taken through the journey of FNYO over the years and introduced to the different member organizations of the federation. During the sessions, key representatives from each organization held a brief meeting to discuss and align the calendar of activities for next year.

In the afternoon, the assembly continued with a session on mental health, followed by the Eucharistic celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Jade Licuanan, Secretary of the CBCP–Episcopal Commission on Youth (ECY).

The Young Franciscan Advocates of the Basilica Minore de San Pedro Bautista, together with the immersion students from the Institute of Formation Fundacio of Asia, attended the Training and Workshop Session on Leadership and Youth Advancement for Good Governance held last November 16, 2025 at the Quezon City Hall MICE Center.

The event was organized by the Quezon City Youth Development Office (QCYDO) and focused on strengthening the competencies of youth leaders across Quezon City. The program highlighted key areas such as budget planning, policy making and formulation, and technical writing skills.

This initiative provided valuable awareness and practical learning for youth leaders from various organizations and Sangguniang Kabataan councils throughout the city, empowering them to become more effective, accountable, and proactive leaders in their respective communities

The FSMJPIC - Young Franciscan Advocates continues to ask for prayers through the Oratio Imperata and compassion for our brothers and sisters who are currently facing the effects of Super Typhoon Uwan in Luzon and the Visayas.

In this time of great challenge, may our prayers bring strength, comfort, and hope to those affected. Let us also express our solidarity through acts of kindness, generosity, and concern for those in need.

As a community of faith, may we trust in God’s providence and mercy, believing that light and renewal will come after the storm.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Yesterday, October 18, 2025, the FSMJPIC - Young Franciscan Advocates held a pilgrimage with the theme “𝙇𝙖𝙠𝙗𝙖𝙮 𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙜-𝘼𝙨𝙖: 𝙎𝙖 𝙔𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙠 𝙣𝙞 𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤 𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝙨𝙖 𝘿𝙞𝙮𝙤𝙨, 𝙠𝙖𝙥𝙬𝙖, 𝙖𝙩 𝙠𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣.”

Along the journey, we prayed for the intentions of the 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝑵𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝑨𝒔𝒊𝒂, especially for their safe travels back home. We also offered prayers for the eternal repose of Tita Lucy Almirañes, OFS National Minister of the Philippines, who returned to our Creator yesterday.

Our pilgrimage of hope, faith, and fraternity brought us to the following pilgrim churches:
📍Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Tagaytay
📍Diocesan Shrine of Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, Silang, Cavite
📍National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, Silang, Cavite
📍Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Pillar – Imus Cathedral, Imus City
📍St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Bacoor City
📍National Shrine of Our Lady of La Naval de Manila and Santo Domingo Parish, Quezon City
📍Basilica Minore de San Pedro Bautista Parish, Quezon City

Aside from these churches, we also visited the Pink Sisters in Tagaytay.

May this pilgrimage remind us to walk with hope, faith, and love — following the footprints of Saint Francis of Assisi toward God, neighbor, and creation.

We humbly ask for your prayers as we continue our journey until we reach our final church.

"Gathered around the warmth of the fire, we shared more than just the light we shared our hearts, our hopes, and our prayers. 🌟🔥 This bonfire wasn’t just about the flames, it was about the connection we felt as youth, coming together in faith and unity. In each flicker of the fire, we saw a reminder of the strength we draw from one another and the power of prayer.

The Jubilee of Youth 2025, held in the spirit of Post-National Youth Day Celebration in Archdiocese of Caceres, the 800th Anniversary of the Canticle of the Creatures of the Franciscan Family, and the global Jubilee of Youth, invites the Inter-Franciscan community of young people in the Philippines to a sacred journey of encounter, reflection, and joyful mission.

Under the theme “Called to Serve: Youth as Bearers of Hope and Creation’s Joy,” this national celebration affirms the vocation of every young person to be a light in a world in need of healing. Through immersion, prayer, worship, and formation rooted in Franciscan spirituality, the youth are empowered to walk alongside the marginalized and with all of creation as messengers of peace, stewards of the Earth, and agents of hope.
