Ever tell God "not here" without realizing that's exactly what you just did?

That's basically what happened to a shepherd named Amos.
God sent him to call out sin — right at Bethel, the king's own place of worship. But the priest running the show, Amaziah, shut him down fast: "Not here. This is royal ground. Take your prophesying somewhere else."

Amaziah didn't say God wasn't real. He just wanted Him kept out of the room where the power and the money actually lived.
If we're honest, we do the same thing. We let God into Sunday mornings and keep Him out of our calendars, our bank accounts, our relationships, our group chats. We compartmentalize Him — one room at a time.
