The Solemnity of the Epiphany celebrates the visit of the Magi and the revelation of Christ to all nations. From the Greek โEpiphaniaโ, meaning โmanifestation,โ Epiphany reminds us that God makes Himself known to all.
In todayโs Gospel, the Magi were โoverjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother.โ Their journey reflects attentive and courageous heartsโwilling to follow Godโs light and respond in worship. True wisdom always leads us to Christ.
Like the Magi, we are called to offer our own gifts and to return โby another way,โ changed by our encounter with the Lord. May our lives become a light that leads others to Him, just as the star once did.
Fun fact: Todayโs Gospel inspired the theme of our 30th National Convention in Subic!
