World Vocation Day is a reminder to reflect on our life's purpose and calling. Vocation goes beyond a career; it's about finding meaning in our work and serving others with our unique talents. Pursuing our vocation brings fulfillment, as we align our passions with our faith and contribution to the world.
As we honor those who dedicate their lives to serving their faith and communities. Whether as priests, nuns and other religious people, their commitment and devotion inspire us all.
So, today, let's explore our paths with open hearts and minds, embracing the journey of discovering and living out the calling to vocations.

In view of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations (21 April) we asked Cardinal Lazarus You Heung-sik, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Clergy, some ...

"On this Vocation Talk, we explore the sacred journey of discerning our callings within the context of our faith. In Catholic tradition, vocation goes beyond mere career choices; it's about discovering God's invitation to live our lives in service to others. Whether it's priesthood, religious life, marriage, or single life, each path is seen as a response to God's unique call.

Let us reflect on the rich tapestry of vocations within the Catholic Church and the saints who have faithfully followed their callings. Through prayer, reflection, and spiritual direction, we seek to discern God's will for our lives and respond with openness and generosity. Together, let's open our hearts to the promptings of the Holy Spirit as we journey in discernment, guided by faith, hope, and love. As Lord wants to work through each of us in a unique way.
Thank you. And may you join us in this sacred quest.

The best devotion is the vocation God calls us to be.

God has a dream for each one of us. We are uniquely loved and called by God. God only wishes good for us as a human race and as individuals. God’s dream is that we in our own unique way will join Christ in building a better world and so experience ourselves fully. “’I know the plan I have in mind for you… plans for peace, not disaster, reserving a future full of hope for you… When you seek me you shall find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me,’ it is the Lord who speaks.” (Jer. 29:11-13)

As Catholics, we strive for excellence and a closer relationship with Christ through our faith and devotion. Devotion through vocation may be described as the "higher" calling; it is the desire to fully unite with God in advancing his cause and the readiness to share God's love with others. And so, entering the religious life means heeding his call.
