The partnership between the MSC (Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart) existed even before the creation of the OLSH chapel. Bibiana Kim, MSC, was then the Treasurer of the Isidora Hills HomeOwners’ Association during the term of Louie Segismundo as President. What started as a once a month Sunday feeding cm catechism of children from Isidora Street,
blossomed into a choir and a scholarship program to include other kids from nearby areas. The scholarship program is wholistic which aims to support not only the educational requirements of the beneficiaries but the spiritual, moral and their physical well-being. With the inauguration of the OLSH chapel on November 5, 2005, the MSC center adjacent was built through the kind efforts of Sr. Nicola Sprenger, MSC to house the administration of 90 elementary, 42 high school and 22 college scholars, the tutorial program and other programs, e.g. feeding, where highly nutritious meals are served after classes, medical, dental and values formation as well. To support these, volunteer parishioners and mothers are being organized into cell groups with the co-existence of our youth. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart guides us to a deeper understanding of their love (Jesus & Mary) for us in our daily life and in us reaching out to others in Jesus’ name, they commit to serve as members of the choir, altar servers, lectors/commentators and welcome committee group. This is also in response to the Diocese of Novaliches BEC trust. All these expansions we must do because we added an afternoon Sunday mass at 4:30 pm celebrated by MSC priests, in addition to the original 7:30 am mass officiated by our chaplain Fr.Brian Steele, MGL and other priests. We are also conducting formation programs for parishioners, eg. the Lenten Recollection which we have been conducting in Franciscan Missionaries of Mary Retreat House at Tagaytay and the Advent Recollection at OLSH. We even have easy to understand Bible Study for youth and adult. Soon we will be launching OLSH Bible Theater group which will present Bible stories in drama form. We are also in partnership with the Couples for Christ community, the Youth for Christ, the Singles for Christ and finally the Handmaids of the Lord to help in the evangelization program of the church. Only recently, we participated actively in the Sing Out Loud Praisefest at St. Benedict Parish providing Band Members, Worship Leaders and support/service team. The CFC community is initiating the devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus every First Friday of the month at 8:00pm. Our sector in West B was one of the major donors in building our chapel. We are also proud that our youth composed of the high school and college scholars sing twice a month at St. Benedict Parish and our elders are active leaders in the Parish Pastoral Council chaired by Dr. Naty Del Rosario.
