We are not only servers in the mass, but we are God's servers and we must live to that!

The Ministry of Altar Servers commits to training young men into a better individual and servants of God. From weekly meetings, service and formation they are shaped into one. Last Sunday, August 9, 2026 also as part of celebrating the Altar Servers Month, a formation was held in the ministry to train, to reflect and to pray. It made each server grow more connected and to bond to each other and to God. Because you only not serve in the mass, but you serve the Lord with your life.

Today, August 15, we celebrate the feast of Saint Tarcisius of Rome, the patron saint of altar servers.

As altar servers, we look to Saint Tarcisius as an example of faith, courage, humility, and love for the Holy Eucharist. At a young age, he courageously protected the Blessed Sacrament and remained faithful to Christ until the very end.

May his life inspire us to serve at the altar with reverence, dedication, and a sincere heart. May we never forget that every time we serve, we are given the beautiful opportunity to serve not only the Church, but Christ Himself.

May we continue to grow together as altar servers, strengthening one another in faith and answering Godโ€™s call to serve with love.

Today, August 15, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring Mary as she was taken body and soul into the glory of Heaven.

May we continue to look to Mary as a model of faith, humility, obedience, and unwavering trust in God. May her example inspire us to remain faithful and steadfast, especially during times of trials and challenges.

Let us ask for her loving intercession, that we may always be guided closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

This month, we are called to appreciate and love the art of altar serving given by the blessing of God. Altar servers are young men called to serve God in His holy altar and to introduce God to others and in this month, we celebrate and acknowledge the responsibility and blessing God gave to them to serve. As we celebrate the Altar Servers month, may we reflect, pray and let the God ignite our desire to serve Him in His altar. This month serves as a reminder that we are called, we are chosen and are privileged to serve God, let us acknowledge that and accept the love and responsibility that we won't be carrying alone. We will carry it together as brothers and as one family with God and by God.

Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, when Jesus revealed His divine glory to Peter, James, and John on Mount Tabor. It also reminds us that Christ is the Light of the world, calling us to place our trust in Him and faithfully follow His will.

May we continually be transformed by God's grace through prayer, the Holy Eucharist, and humble service. Like the Apostles, may we always listen to His voice and reflect His light in our words, actions, and daily lives.

Let this feast inspire us to deepen our faith and to proclaim Christ's glory wherever we may be.

August 1, 2026 marked a historic and grace-filled day for the Santa Lucia Parish as we joyfully witnessed the Solemn Installation of ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ. ๐…๐ซ. ๐•๐ข๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐„๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ฎ๐ž๐ฅ ๐ˆ. "๐๐จ๐›๐จ๐ญ" ๐‚๐ฅ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง, ๐Œ๐€๐‹๐’ as the 16th Parish Priest of our beloved parish.

With hearts full of gratitude, we welcomed our new shepherd, entrusting his pastoral ministry to the loving guidance of the Good Shepherd. May the Holy Spirit grant him wisdom, strength, and unwavering faith as he leads our parish family closer to Christ.
