Churches today are producing believers who are too sensitive and less rational. Truth is now determined by attractiveness ----mas masarap pakinggan, mas totoo. "Bawal mang-offend!" ang bagong motto ng mga pastors and church leaders. Sugar-coated sermons became the new norm. Compromising what's right became the new way to "love."

At dahil "kasalanan" na ang maka-offend, nagiging "kasalanan" na rin ngayon ang mag-correct dahil correction is expectedly offensive for some. Para sa maraming believers, once you correct or rebuke them, you are acting in hate, not in love. "Love one another! Do not judge!"--ang paulit-ulit na sigaw nitong mga 'to.

Mga kapatid, hindi lahat ng nagko-correct sa'yo ay pwede mo nang tawagin na "hater," "modern-day Pharisee," "persecutor," or "judgemental." May pagkakataon na kasalanan mo naman talaga! (Kaya huwag laging feeling inosente.) And these people are just concerned sa'yo that they have to correct you.

☑️Correction is an act of godly love. Nathan rebuked David (2 Sam 12), Jesus reprimanded His disciples countless of times (Lk 9:54-55; Matt 16:24 etc), Paul told Peter face to face that he was wrong (Gal 2:11-14), and God corrects whom He loves (Prov 3:12; Heb 12:6). These prove na ang pag-ibig ay napapakita rin sa paraan ng pagtatama sa mali, at ang pagtanggap ng correction ay pagtanggap din ng pag-ibig.

☑️Accepting correction is an act of wisdom.
Kaya it is foolishness to hate correction (Prov 12:1). Ang pakikinig sa pagtatama ay pag-gain ng intelligence (Prov 15:32). At delikado ang hindi pagtanggap sa pagtutuwid dahil maaaring madamay mo ang iba sa mali mo (Prov 10:17).

☑️Correcting and accepting corrections are both acts of obedience. We are instructed na ituwid ang mga believers na nagpapatuloy sa kasalanan (1 Tim 5:20). Sinabihan din tayo na mag-warning sa mga pasaway nating kapatid (2 Thess 3:15). In fact, correcting a brethren is fulfilling the law of Christ (Gal 6:1-2). Also, hindi natin maaaring isawalang bahala ang correction ng Diyos (Prov 3:11). Alam naman natin na ang pagre-rebuke ni Lord ay maaari Niyang paraanin sa bibig ng kahit sino kaya we should listen and evaluate every criticism na matatanggap natin.
