When you find yourself in pain, it's natural to seek comfort. Everyone wants the agony of injury, illness or heartbreak to disappear as quickly as possible.

If you touch a hot stove, you might grab a ice for your burn. If you get caught in a rainstorm, you might get look immediately for a shelter. If you experience the loss of someone you love, you might do whatever you can to distract yourself from grief.

We can also seek things like food, shopping, work, drugs, alcohol, technology or entertainment as mind-numbing agents to attempt to ease our suffering.

But only one God can bring us comfort:

"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of al comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us". 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

When Paul and Timothy used the word "comfort", they describing a God who comforts, consoles, engourages, helps, strengthens, instructs, and refreshes. That's rhe God He was to Paul and Timothy, and that's the God He still is.

No matter how bad things get, God can comfort you in a way that no one can else. You can lean on Him.

And because God's Spirit is within His people, His people can also comfort others. He works in them and through them to offer a hope that's beyond any present or future pain.

Are you hurting physically, mentally or emotionally? There's a God who cares. There are people who want to help. So cry out to the source of all comfort. You can trust Him with your pain.

Hannah desperately wanted a child, but she wasn't able to conceive. Year after year, she was mocked, tormented and left heartbroken because of her infertility.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN THERE?

Maybe you have desperately wanted something: a godly marriage, a healthy body, a thriving family, a hard-earned title, a close community a restored relationship. Maybe you've look around at everyone else's seemingly full lives and wondered why your arms were empty.

Eventually, after years of waiting, God answered Hannah's prayer. And because of that, she was filled with wonder and worship, saying "No one is holy like Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God". 1 Samuel 2:2

Despite the excruciating years of longing and disappointment, Hannah new there was no replacement for God. There's no one else who's able to create something from nothing. There's no one else who holds power of life.

There is no other Rock on which to build our faith.

There's no one else who sees the worst of us and loves us anyway. There:s no one else who has compassion for our deepest longing. There's no one else who can be trusted with the most tender part of our dreams. There's no one else who's there to guide, teach and comfort---when it feels everyone else has left.

There's no one else has the power to save.

Because God is holy, He is always good. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Rest assured, there is no one else who's more worthy of your trust, your respect, and your heart.

He sees you. He is with you.

Have you ever gone the wrong way?
Once you realized that you were headed in the opposite direction of where you wanted to end up, did you keep going---or did you turn around?

We've all been lost at one time or another.
We've all done things we regret.
We've all messed up.

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38 NIV

"Sin" (the greek word hamartia) means to miss the mark, to be mistaken, or to wander from the path of righteousness.
"Repent" ( the greek word metanoeō) means to change one's mind, change direction, or think and act differently.

To summarize our situation: God made the world, we messed it up, and Jesus come to make things right again. This is our story. But the great news is, even when we've made choices that haven't honored God in the past, it's not too late to turn around.

But you ("each of you", Peter said) must decide if you want to abandon the path that eventually leads to empty pleasure and unnecessary pain, and turn back to God--allowing grace to wash over you, and by accepting the gift that already yours.

And that awesome gift---the Holy Spirit ---will help you, lead you, and comfort you... in a way that only He can. And though you cannot take credit for purchasing the gift or giving the gift, the gift isn't truly yours until you reach out and take it.

Your family cannot do it for you.
Your friends cannot do it for you.
Your church cannot do it for you.

"He renews my strength, He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name." Psalm 23:3

As you process today's verse, in what way can you turn from your selfish desires and run back to God? Ask Him to give you the strength, discernment and endurance to keep following Him... where ever He leads.

He is the better way.

We are not capable of saving ourselves. We are not capable of being the solution. We are not capable of being our own saviors..

If you persist in ignoring the voice of God in your heart, you'll eventually cease to hear it at all.

Thank you Pastor for the good and timely message😇😇

"Jesus replied, 'Very I truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." John 3:3

"As we gain a knowledge of God's love, we realize how little we have valued it. We recognized that we have lived independently of Him. We see our desperate condition and realize our need of His Salvation".

Happy Sabbath😇😇

Leaders can get tired.😩 Youth leaders can get really tired.🤧🤧 They oversee group sleepovers, high-energy youth events, and of course, the occasional but inevitable all-nighter.
The fatigue you feel from your leadership role might go beyond physical exhaustion though, and a nap and a few large iced coffees or milkteas 😋 won’t cure it. Your soul is tired. You’re wondering if what you’re doing is making a difference, and that question ushers in discouragement. You’re fighting burnout and on some days, giving up sounds like a very viable option.

Leading youth can be hard;😵😵 we aren’t going to sugarcoat it. And there will be times and seasons when you will feel the full weight of it😩😩. But let us encourage you: Your weariness doesn’t make you weak. Even Jesus got weary!

We forget sometimes that in being fully God, Jesus was also fully human. He knew what exhaustion felt like. In John 4:6, it says that when Jesus got tired, he sat down. Not only did he sit down, but he positioned himself by a well — somewhere he could renew his spirit and his physical body. 😇

As leaders, especially youth leaders, we can convince ourselves that to be good leaders, we need to be constantly moving.😣 But if Jesus took the time to rest and take care of himself, shouldn’t you?

You serve a Savior who understands and you’re surrounded by a team who is cheering you on!😘😘

Take some time today to just sit with Jesus and catch your breath. So don’t give up!☺️

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 🦾

Have blessed day servant leader of Christ🤗
