Social media is flooded with Holy Week timelines right now, and it honestly grieves me. So much truth is overlooked while so many man-made traditions are added in its place.

Many believers today celebrate Easter to honor Yeshua’s resurrection, but Easter is nowhere in Scripture. What is in Scripture? Passover and the Feast of First Fruits are God’s appointed times that prophesy Yeshua’s death and resurrection.

Yeshua died on Passover as the spotless Lamb of God and rose as our First Fruits, fulfilling the Torah prophecies. Yet, instead of teaching these Biblical feasts, churches today cling to traditions like Palm Sunday, Spy Wednesday (like 007? 😉), Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, none of which are commanded in the Word. Traditions like the washing of feet are remembered, but the actual Passover is ignored, despite being central to Yeshua’s final moments (Luke 22:15).

And the popular timeline doesn’t hold up.

Yeshua said He would be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights (Matthew 12:40). In Hebrew understanding, that means three full days and three full nights—not partial days. From Friday to Sunday, you only get one day and two nights. That’s not just a small error—it’s bad math and unbiblical tradition.

What’s more, after Yeshua’s resurrection, we still find no mention of Easter in the New Testament. But we do see Paul writing to gentile believers about keeping Passover:

“Therefore let us celebrate the feast…” —1 Corinthians 5:8 (TLV)

If Paul, writing to believers years after Yeshua’s resurrection, still upheld Passover—why have so many today traded it for something the Bible never commands?

If we truly follow Messiah, we should follow His example—not traditions added centuries later.

Passover is a commandment of God. Easter is not. Return to the Word. Walk as Yeshua walked. Be set apart.

PS: The only time “Easter” appears is in the King James Version in Acts 12:4—but that’s widely considered a translation error. The Greek word there is Pascha, which clearly means Passover, not Easter.

It's definitely according to the Bible!

"As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female," sabi ni Trump.

"I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life," dagdag ng 78-anyos na US president.

Binansagan ni Trump ang kanyang hakbang na ito bilang "revolution of common sense." (Photo courtesy of Donald Trump/Facebook)
