Seeing to Believe – Faith in Doubt”
Embracing Faith Even When We Face Uncertainty

The world says, "I’ll believe it when I see it."

But the Kingdom of God says, "Believe, and then you will see." That is what we call FAITH. Faith isn’t the absence of doubt; it’s the choice to trust God even when the path ahead is unclear.

I. What Is Faith? 📖

"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." — Hebrews 11:1

• Faith vs. Sight: We live by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
• The Eternal Perspective: Sight limits us to what is temporary, but faith opens our eyes to what is eternal.
• Beyond Reality: Faith doesn’t ignore the facts of our situation; it simply looks past them to see God’s greater plan.

II. Doubt: A Normal Part of the Journey

Doubt is not the same as unbelief. Often, doubt is just faith struggling with uncertainty—a sign that we care enough to ask deep questions.

In Mark 9:24, a father cried out: "I believe; help overcome my unbelief!" Jesus didn't turn him away. He honored that honest heart and healed his son.

III. Embracing Faith in Uncertainty
How do we practically choose faith when we feel unsure? Here are four ways to stay grounded:

1. Anchor Yourself in God’s Wor
Circumstances shift like the sand, but God’s promises are unchanging.
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
—Psalm 119:105

2. Bring Your Doubts Honestly to God
Don't hide your fears. Prayer isn't just about getting answers; it’s about finding His peace.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
— 1 Peter 5:7

3. Take Steps of Obedience
Faith is active! It often starts with one small step. You don't need to understand the whole map to trust the One who is leading you.

4. Remember That God is Working
Even when we can’t see it, He is busy behind the scenes.
Our uncertainty isn't the end of the story.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him..." — Romans 8:28

Conclusion: The Promise
Right now, life can feel like looking into a foggy mirror. But we hold onto this hope: One day, we will see clearly.

"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face." — 1 Corinthians 13:12

The Stewardship of "Me"
The Often-Forgotten Half of the Commandment 📖

In Mark 12:31, Jesus calls us to "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Most of us are experts in the first half—we show up for every crisis and take the late-night calls. But we often overlook those last two words. Loving yourself isn’t selfish; it’s the standard Jesus set. To love others well, we must be good stewards of the "me" God created, keeping our own souls, bodies, and spirits fueled so we have something meaningful to give.

You can't pour from an empty cup, and God didn't design you to be a doormat—He designed you to be a dwelling place. Fill up, so you can overflow!

Even small acts of noticing, caring, or speaking life can be a seed you sow that grows in ways you don’t expect.

Here’s a simple daily prayer to invite God to guide you in finding those opportunities:

God, help us to see what you see, feel what you feel, and love what you love.🫶

Are you willing to follow Jesus if it means leaving something behind?

In Matthew 4:19, before Peter and Andrew could become "fishers of men," they first had to drop their nets. True discipleship is rarely just about where we are going; it’s about what we have the courage to let go of along the way.

Following Christ often requires a three-fold surrender:

1. Our Identity: Walking away from an old self defined by mistakes to embrace a new worth in Him.
2. Our Passions: Letting go of habits that fill our time but empty our souls.
3. Our Circles: Accepting the "quiet ache" of leaving behind relationships that aren't meant for the next chapter of our journey.

It can feel like a sacrifice, but Jesus never asks us to empty our hands without the intention of filling them with something better. He replaces our past with a future, our old hobbies with a divine purpose, and our loneliness with a seat at His table.

Nothing we "lose" for the sake of the Gospel can compare to the peace of being found. If He is asking you to leave it behind, it’s only because He has something ahead that you can’t carry with full hands.

Kung ang pagmamahal ay may presyo, hanggang saan ako handang magbayad para sa ibang tao?

Most of the time, love is easy when it’s convenient—when people are kind, grateful, or just like us. But what if loving means being uncomfortable? What if it costs our time, pride, comfort, or plans?

Jesus didn’t call us to comfortable love; He called us to sacrificial love.

A blessed day indeed!🤍 Thank you, Lord!

Have you ever paused and wondered how God really sees you?

Psalm 139:14 reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, not an accident, not a mistake, not a backup plan. In a world full of comparisons and filters, God’s truth stays the same: you are intentionally created, deeply known, and fully valued.

So today, will you choose to see yourself the way God sees you?

Life gets heavy, and sometimes we feel like we need to have everything together before coming to church, but the truth is, God meets us right where we are.

This space is for the tired, the joyful, the questioning, and the hopeful. Just as Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28), you are invited not because you’re perfect, but because you’re loved. We’d love to walk with you, worship with you, and grow together in His grace. 🤍
