LOOK || MOP CLERGY HOLD MONTHLY RECOLLECTION ON MENTAL HEALTH, SPIRITUALITY, AND SAFEGUARDING
26 August 2026 | Pasay City — The clergy of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines (MOP) held their Monthly Clergy Recollection at the Shrine of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus in Pasay City, with Dr. Gabriel S. Dy-Liacco serving as the recollection facilitator.
The gathering was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing members of the MOP clergy who could not be physically present to participate online. It provided the priests with an opportunity to step back from their pastoral and administrative responsibilities, renew their spiritual lives, reflect on their ministry, and strengthen their fraternity as members of the presbyterium.
Most Rev. Oscar Jaime L. Florencio, D.D., SThD, Military Bishop of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines, joined the clergy during the recollection.
Dr. Dy-Liacco guided the participants through reflections integrating mental health, spirituality, trauma-informed pastoral care, human formation, and the safeguarding of minors and vulnerable persons. His presentation highlighted the importance of self-awareness, emotional maturity, healthy relationships, responsible ministry, and the continuing human and spiritual formation of priests.
