✝️ HOLY THURSDAY: GRACE ON THE ROAD-

PRAYER DRIVE THRU ✝️

Last Holy Thursday evening, some volunteers of THE NLV CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC COMMUNITY was right there—waiting with open hearts and outstretched hands, ready to pray over random pilgrims walking to Grotto through our special prayer drive-thru!

We came for every passer-by and motorists—no matter what their story is, level in life, or where they’re at in their faith. Our hearts were set on interceding for every unspoken petition in their hearts, wrapping them in God’s healing, filling them with unshakable hope, deepening their faith, and leading more souls home to His loving arms. Most of all, we wanted to move them to feel the true, deeper meaning of Lent, and the weight and beauty of their sacrifices as they made their way to the Grotto.

For the NLV Seminar Team, this activity was more than just a service—it was a gift of grace and realization. As we served them, we learned what it truly means to be humble, dedicated and bold servants and warriors of God: it’s never about us. It’s all about Him. More of God, less of us—always.

This Holy Week, may the grace we shared stay every person we prayed over. And may we all keep bringing God’s love to every road, every heart, every person we meet. ❤️

✨ THERE’S A MOMENT GOD ALLOWS — when your strength runs out on purpose.

It’s not because you failed ❌
It’s because Heaven is calling you away from doing it all alone 🙏

At some point, effort stops working.
Striving just wears you out.
Pretending you’re “fine” becomes heavier than the fight itself.

In that moment of letting go… GOD SPEAKS 🗣️

He does His deepest, most life-changing work when self-reliance ends.
What you call breaking → He calls yielding.
What you see as an end → He sees as an entrance.

We think surrender is weakness…
But in God’s Kingdom, it’s ACTIVATION 💥
It’s where healing begins, chains fall off, and peace replaces pressure.

Grace doesn’t wait for you to prove yourself — it moves when you say:
“God, I can’t do this without You.”

This isn’t defeat… IT’S ALIGNMENT ✨

Faith becomes real not when you show strength, but when you trust Him with your vulnerability.
Not when you manage the storm, but when you let Him into the boat.

Your weakness isn’t holding you back — it’s positioning you for breakthrough.

🔥 WHY FASTING MATTERS

Fasting is tied to humility, repentance, clarity & powerful prayer — Scripture shows Moses, David, Esther, Jesus & the Apostles all fasted! Jesus said "When you fast..." (not if) 🙏

In Catholic tradition, it’s one of three pillars: Prayer • Fasting • Almsgiving — it’s not punishment, but freedom from attachments to make room for grace ✝️

TYPES OF FASTING:
🥖 Physical (Food): Church rules for Ash Wednesday/Good Friday; abstaining from meat; bread/water; or skipping meals
🍫 Pleasure: Giving up sweets, rich food, etc. — "God is enough"
📱 Media/Technology: No socials/TV to create space for God
🗣 Speech: Less talking, no gossip/complaining — feast on listening
😠 Emotional/Attitude: Let go of anger, negativity, self-pity
🛏 Comfort: Small sacrifices to build discipline
💰 Fasting → Almsgiving: Give saved money to the poor

IMPORTANT: Fasting should build humility & love, never harm health. Not for those who are sick/pregnant without guidance. No showing off!

🌟 THE GOAL: An empty heart ready for God — "I deny something good to not miss what is BEST — You."
