Today, we joyfully celebrate the 7th Anniversary of the Canonical Installation of Most Rev. Roberto O. Gaa, D.D. as the 3rd Bishop of Novaliches.

Just two days ago, on August 22, we also celebrated the 7th anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination, a journey of faithful service, pastoral care, and generous love for the Church.

As we celebrate these milestones, we give thanks for the gift of his episcopal ministry and pray that the Lord may continue to strengthen and guide Bishop Robbie as he shepherds the Diocese of Novaliches.

Happy 7th Episcopal Ordination and Canonical Installation Anniversary, Bishop Robbie! May your ministry continue to be a blessing to Godโ€™s people.

August 24, 2026 | Feast Day of St. Bartholomew, the Apostle and Martyr

Today, our Parish honors the Feast Day of our Patron Saint, St. Bartholomew, the Apostle and Martyr. Jesus called him "a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit." Upon meeting Jesus, Bartholomew's doubt turned to bold declaration: "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!" From a skeptic to a devoted apostle, tradition holds that he carried the Gospel far beyond Israel.

St. Bartholomew reminds us that God welcomes honest doubt, and that a sincere heart open to truth can become a vessel of tremendous faith. His feast invites us to examine our own hearts. Are we, too, willing to "come and see," even when we are unsure?

Today marks a new chapter in our Parish, as we joyfully welcome Rev. Fr. Antonio E. Labiao, Jr. as the sixth Parish Priest. A new shepherd steps forward to walk with the community in its joys and struggles, to break bread at the altar, to listen in the confessional, to visit the sick, and to guide souls closer to Christ.

We celebrate Fr. Tony's coming with open hearts and grateful spirits, trusting that his ministry will be marked by humility, compassion, and unwavering faith. May his years here be filled with grace for our Parish he now leads, and for the people entrusted to his care.

The same invitation accepted by Nathanael (St. Bartholomew), "come and see" (John 1:46) echoes today as Fr. Tony begins his ministry among us. Come and see a parish community rooted in faith. Come and see a people ready to walk together in prayer, service, and love. Come and see how grace continues to work through ordinary hands willing to shepherd God's flock.
