IN CHURCH SERVICE, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT TO BE CALLED.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t have to be the holiest person in the room.
You don’t have to be without flaws, doubts, or weaknesses.

You simply have to be willing to serve. God has never called perfect people. He calls ordinary people who are willing to say “yes.”

Sometimes, we wait until we feel worthy. We think we need to become better first before we can serve God.
But perhaps the beauty of vocation and ministry is that God transforms us while we serve Him.

Your willingness can become someone else’s blessing.
Your little act of service can become someone else’s encounter with God. Your “yes” can be the very thing God uses to touch another person's life.

So if God is calling you to serve, don't let your imperfections stop you. Come as you are. Serve with what you have. Give what you can.

Because in the Church, it is not about being perfect.

It is about being available.
It is about being faithful.
It is about being willing to say, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.”

Calling a sinner who goes to church a hypocrite is like criticizing a sick person for visiting a doctor.

The Church is not a museum for saints but a hospital for sinners. We do not come because we are already perfect; we come because we need God's mercy, healing, and grace.

Of course, true faith calls us to repentance and a sincere desire to change. But no one should be discouraged from seeking Christ simply because they are still struggling. Every saint had a past, and every sinner has the hope of a future transformed by God's love.

"Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners." — Mark 2:17

IMPORTANT REMINDER: TO DELIBERATELY MISS SUNDAY MASS WITHOUT A SERIOUS REASON IS A MORTAL SIN.

For Catholics, participating in the Holy Mass every Sunday and on Holy Days of Obligation is not simply a good habit—it is a sacred obligation. This duty is rooted in the Third Commandment: "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Exodus 20:8–11), and fulfilled in the celebration of the Lord's Day, Sunday, the day of Christ's Resurrection (John 20:1; Acts 20:7; Revelation 1:10).

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that "the Sunday Eucharist is the foundation and confirmation of all Christian practice." Therefore, the faithful are obliged to participate in the Eucharist on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation unless prevented by a serious reason, such as illness or the care of infants (CCC 2181–2182).

Likewise, Canon Law states: "On Sundays and other holy days of obligation, the faithful are obliged to participate in the Mass" (Canon 1247). Knowingly and freely choosing to miss Sunday Mass without a grave reason is considered a mortal sin because it involves neglecting a serious obligation owed to God.

As St. John Paul II beautifully wrote, "Sunday is the day which is at the heart of the Church's life" (Dies Domini, 4). Every Mass is a participation in Christ's one saving sacrifice and a foretaste of the heavenly banquet (CCC 1326, 1407).

May we never take the gift of the Holy Eucharist for granted. Whenever we are able, let us honor the Lord's Day by faithfully attending Holy Mass and placing God first in our lives.
