“A true missionary lives among the people and proclaims the Word of God to the poor.” (Ang tinuod nga misyonero nagpuyo uban sa mga tawo ug nagsangyaw sa Pulong sa Diyos ngadto sa mga kabus.)

This was the life and ministry of Fr. Rosaleo "Rudy" Romano, C.Ss.R. Long before he became a symbol of courage during the darkest days of the country, he was simply a shepherd riding out into the margins to be with his flock.

Feast of St. Francis of Assisi
Patron Saint of Ecology

We celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, a humble servant of God who saw the beauty of the Creator in all of creation. Through his simplicity, humility, and deep love for nature, he reminds us that all creatures are our brothers and sisters and that our common home is a precious gift entrusted to our care.

"Lord, through the example of St. Francis of Assisi, teach us to live in simplicity, humility, and love for all creation. Help us become instruments of Your peace and responsible stewards of our common home. May we always recognize Your presence in nature and in one another."
Amen.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us.

FRIDAY OF THE TWENTY-SIXTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME
OCTOBER 02, 2026

GOSPEL
Matthew 18: 1-5, 10

The disciples approached Jesus and said,
“Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said,
“Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children,
you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Whoever humbles himself like this child
is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones,
for I say to you that their angels in heaven
always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.”

Wednesday: Devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help

In moments of downfall, weakness, and illness, we run to you with faith and trust. When our hearts are burdened and our strength begins to fade, wrap us in your loving care and bring us closer to Jesus. May your comforting presence remind us that we are never alone, and that there is always hope in God’s love.

Let us come together in prayer and place our needs, our families, and our loved ones in her loving hands.

Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for us and be our refuge in every trial.

Feast of the Holy Archangels

Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Archangels—St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael—faithful servants and messengers of God. Their presence in Scripture reminds us of God’s protection, His message of salvation, and His healing presence in our lives.

May St. Michael strengthen us in our struggles, St. Gabriel help us listen and respond to God’s call, and St. Raphael accompany us on our journey and bring healing and hope. May we, like the holy angels, remain faithful servants of God, ready to proclaim His love and serve His people with humility and courage.

Holy Archangels, pray for us!

MONDAY OF THE TWENTY-SIXTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME
SEPTEMBER 28, 2026

GOSPEL
John 15:18-21

Jesus said to his disciples:
“If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first.
If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own;
but because you do not belong to the world,
and I have chosen you out of the world,
the world hates you.
Remember the word I spoke to you,
‘No slave is greater than his master.’
If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
And they will do all these things to you on account of my name,
because they do not know the one who sent me”.
