Talitha K*m Philippines participated in the first PIMAHT 2026 Meeting to Advance Key Initiatives

01.13.2026. Talitha K*m Philippines actively participated in the Philippine Interfaith Movement Against Human Trafficking (PIMAHT), being part of its Secretariat that convened its first meeting of 2026 to update and coordinate plans for two critical agenda items.

First, the group focused on coordinating mobilization efforts for the National and International Day of Prayer and Awareness against Human Trafficking, with inputs from the Episcopal Commission on Migration and Immigrants of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (ECMI-CBCP) and Talita K*m. Discussions centered on aligning activities, resources, and messaging to maximize impact across communities.

Second, transition plans for the PIMAHT Church Council’s Leadership/Coordinatorship were reviewed. The shift from CBCP-ECMI to the National Council of Churches in the Philippines (NCCP) will include a formal ceremony to be integrated into a January 30 activity, which will be led by CBCP-ECMI to ensure a smooth handover.

The meeting went well and members renewed their commitment to end Human trafficking.

Voices Rise: Talitha K*m Philippines Prays Against Trafficking – 2026

Beneath Manila’s morning sky so bright,
We gather where the waters flow;
With hands clasped tight in prayer and sacred light,
We stand for those we’ve yet to let us know.

From alley ways to ports where hopes were lost,
From streets that bear the weight of hidden pain,
Our voices cross each barrier and cost –
No more shall innocence be bought in vain.

The church bells chime across Intramuros’ walls,
While modern towers lift their call as one;
We pray for chains to crumble, walls to fall,
For every child, every daughter, every son.

In this great city where our fates are tied,
We vow to be the hope that cannot hide.

New Year 2026: Renewing Commitment to End Human Trafficking

As we enter 2026, we renew our unwavering commitment to ending human trafficking—a crime that violates the core principles of dignity, freedom, and justice. This scourge exploits vulnerability, trapping millions in forced labor, sexual exploitation, and modern-day slavery, robbing them of their rights and futures.

In 2026, our resolve will translate into action: we will strengthen cross-border collaboration to disrupt trafficking networks, enhance prevention efforts by addressing root causes like poverty and inequality, and expand support for survivors to rebuild their lives. We will hold perpetrators accountable and raise global awareness to ensure no one remains silent in the face of this injustice.

Let 2026 be the year we advance closer to a world free from human trafficking, where every individual can live in safety and with inherent worth.

Happy New Year 2026.

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM TALITHA K*M PHILIPPINES

"A Season of Transformation, A Future of Hope Against Human Trafficking"

This Christmas, as the world celebrates the birth of a child who brought light to darkness, Talitha K*m Philippines stands firm in our mission to turn despair into dignity for victims and at-risk communities of human trafficking.

We believe that transformation begins with action – from rescuing survivors and providing them with safe shelter, education, and livelihood training, to empowering families and youth to recognize and resist exploitation. Every life we touch is a testament to how compassion can rewrite stories of suffering into journeys of strength.

As we gather with loved ones, let us hold onto hope – hope that one day, no child, woman, or man will fall prey to this heinous crime. This season, your support helps us expand our outreach, strengthen our advocacy, and build a nation where every person can live free and thrive.

May the joy of Christmas inspire us all to be beacons of change. Together, we can end human trafficking and build a brighter tomorrow for the Philippines.

Warmest Christmas Wishes,
Talitha K*m Philippines Team

Solidarity Message on the Occasion of the 3rd National Congress of Migrante International

To the officers, members, and delegates of Migrante gathered for your 3rd National Congress:

We stand in unwavering solidarity with you as you convene to chart the course for the rights, welfare, and dignity of Filipino migrants and their families across the globe.

For decades, Migrante has been a fierce and tireless voice for our kababayan who have left home in search of better opportunities. Your work — from advocating for fair wages and safe working conditions to fighting against exploitation, human trafficking, and discrimination — has touched the lives of millions. You have turned grief into action, fear into courage, and isolation into community, building a powerful movement that unites migrants and their loved ones in the Philippines and abroad.

This 3rd National Congress comes at a critical time, as migrants face new challenges: evolving labor markets, climate-related displacement, digital exploitation, and the ongoing struggle to access basic services and legal protection. We commend your commitment to addressing these issues head-on, and we trust that your discussions will yield bold, practical strategies to advance migrant rights and build a more just world where no one is forced to leave home to survive.

May this gathering strengthen your resolve, deepen your solidarity, and renew your spirit for the work ahead. We stand with you in your fight for a future where every Filipino migrant can live and work with respect, safety, and hope — and where the choice to migrate is truly a free one.

Mabuhay ang Migrante International!
Mabuhay ang mga Manggagawang Migrante!
Laban para sa Karapatan at Kagalingan

Talitha K*m Philippines: A New Chapter Begins

On November 26, 2025, and December 10, 2025, the Talitha K*m Philippines Board of Trustees gathered for a momentous occasion—their Initial Board of Trustees Meeting. This significant step marks the beginning of a new chapter in the TKP mission to serve and uplift the vulnerable, especially those affected by human trafficking.
Guided by faith and the teachings of Christ, this gathering was not merely a meeting but a prayerful reflection on the journey ahead. The name "Talitha K*m," meaning "Little girl, I say to you, arise" (Mark 5:41), serves as a constant reminder of their divine calling to bring hope and restoration to God's children.
As they laid the foundation for their work, the Board of Trustees embraced their shared commitment to justice, compassion, and service. With hearts united in prayer and purpose, they sought the guidance of the Holy Spirit to lead their efforts in building a future where dignity and freedom prevail.
May the Lord bless Talitha K*m Philippines as they embark on this sacred mission, and may their work be a beacon of light for those in need. Together, they rise in faith, hope, and love.
