Today, we joyfully celebrate the 93rd Founding Anniversary of our parish dedicated to our beloved patron, San Pedro Bautista.

Founded in 1932, our church stands as the oldest in the Diocese of Cubao, a living testament to faith and community through the years. Let us give thanks to the Lord God for blessing us with this wonderful gift!

With hearts united in both grief and hope, we announce the return to our Creator of our dear (+) Br. Temoteo S. Gulay, OFM.

As one community of faith, we lift up our prayers for the repose of his soul. Let us continue to keep him in our prayers, entrusting him to God’s mercy, that he may now share in the peace and joy of eternal life.

Eternal rest grant unto +Temoteo, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

LOOK|| 14 New Members of the Ministry of Altar Servers were commissioned at the Basilica Minore de San Pedro Bautista on the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time by our Parish Priest and Rector, 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐁. 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐫., 𝐎𝐅𝐌.
The Ministry of Altar Servers had their fellowship after the Holy Mass.

We joyfully welcome our new members of the Ministry with whole heart.
Congratulations to the newly commissioned members of the Ministry of Altar Servers of the Minor Basilica of San Pedro Bautista.

May these young servers always remember that “𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐞” – 𝐓𝐨 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞. For in loving, they discover the true meaning of service, and in serving, they experience the depth of God’s love.

Bilang kabataang naglilingkod sa Simbahan ng Diyosesis ng Cubao, tinututulan namin ang pagnanakaw sa kaban ng bayan. Ang paglilingkod ay para sa tao at sa Diyos—hindi para sa bulsa.

Sama-sama tayong manindigan para sa katapatan at hustisya.

𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗖 𝗙𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥, 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗜 | 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟳

Today, we celebrate the Stigmatization of St. Francis of Assisi that sacred moment on Mount La Verna when Christ imprinted His holy wounds upon the humble servant of God. In this profound gift, Francis became not only a living image of the Crucified Lord but also a burning witness of love, sacrifice, and total union with Christ.

As St. Bonaventure tells us, Francis “𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹.” The stigmata remind us that true discipleship is not measured by words alone, but by a heart willing to share in Christ’s suffering for the salvation of the world.

5TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DECLARATION OF SPBP AS A MINOR BASILICA
SEPTEMBER 14

The Parish of Santuario de San Pedro Bautista was declared as a Minor Basilica on the 14th of September 2020.

The Diocese of Cubao announced on July 9, 2020, that the Holy See had bestowed the title of Minor Basilica upon the parish, making it the 17th minor basilica in the Philippines and the 2nd in the diocese.
