Yesterday, the DC and CM formands 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦: 𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯.

This year’s theme, “𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐠, 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐌-𝐃𝐂 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲,” was hosted by the CM formands. The CM-DC Formands’ Gathering 2025 began at 2:30 PM with fun-filled games and sumptuous snacks, followed by a talk from Fr. Gerry Vibar, CM. He highlighted the Vincentian identity and the inseparable union of the two congregations founded by Saints Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac, stating: “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘔 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘊 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦 – 𝘊𝘔, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘰.” Later, at 8:00 PM, they reunited for a solidarity night, where the air was filled with laughter from hilarious raffles and amazement at the talented, creative performances of the CM and DC formands from various levels of formation.

Today’s activities began early at 6:00 AM, with Rev. Arvel Cui, CM, leading a Benediction and Exposition of the Blessed Eucharist, followed by breakfast. At 8:30 AM, they left the SVS compound to visit the poor people living along the congressional road beside the river in Quezon City. They spoke with the families and offered a simple token of gratitude for opening their homes. Indeed, such an encounter colors our vocation!

At 11:30 AM, they closed the program with a Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Peter Solis, CM, fondly known as Fr. Popo. During his homily, he encouraged the DC and CM formands to deepen their bond, unite themselves through the very purpose of their Vincentian vocation, and cultivate a connection patterned after the relationship their founders, Saints Vincent and Louise, shared during their lifetime. For Fr. Popo, their congregation has the acronym DCM: 𝑻𝒘𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅, 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the CM and DC communities and other people who supported this gathering and made it beautiful and meaningful. Indeed, this inspires us to continue our journey, not alone, but with a 𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒈 —ever supportive and authentic.

LOOK: The CM–DC Formands’ Gathering 2025 continues with a Solidarity Night. It flooded everyone with laughter through laugh-trip raffles and filled them with awe through the beautiful and creative presentations from the different formation levels of the DC and CM.

𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓
Yesterday, November 2, 2025, at 4:00 PM, the priests of the Congregation of the Mission (CM) and the sisters of the Daughters of Charity (DC) in Metro Manila, together with CM seminarians and DC sisters under formation, gathered at Asumpta Park, Daughters of Charity Provincial House in Parañaque, for a Eucharistic Celebration in memory of their deceased community members.

The Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Rolando Crisostomo Santos, CM, DD, fondly known as Bishop Rolly. In his homily, Bishop Rolly reflected that Asumpta Park is a place of honor—a place for those who lived virtuous lives and offered themselves generously in the service of the mission. He said: “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴; 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵. 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥. After the Holy Mass, the community shared simple refreshments at Ayen’s Hall, continuing their fellowship in a spirit of gratitude and remembrance.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 | 𝘚𝘺𝘯𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: “𝘌𝘮𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘙𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯”

Yesterday, at 4:00 PM, all Vincentian seminarians from DPH and SVS began their common recollection with sports activities that strengthened their bonds, fostered friendships, and created meaningful memories. Afterwards, they listened to the talk of Rev. Manuel Victor Sapitual, CM, on “𝘌𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘚𝘺𝘯𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺.” In his talk, he emphasized the inviolability of human dignity, the role of synodal spirituality in transforming wounds into peace, the call to resist polarization, the importance of patience, and the necessity of friendship. Later in the evening at 8:15 PM, they held a Benediction and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, led by Rev. Arvel Pam Anthony Cui, CM, while some priests from the Mission House administered the Sacrament of Confession.

This morning, at 9:00 AM, they listened to Fr. Kenneth Centeno, CM, who gave a talk on “𝘚𝘺𝘯𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: 𝘌𝘮𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘙𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯.” He emphasized the mysterious power of hope in synodal formation—transforming tensions into opportunities for character formation, appreciating the unseen as attainable through faith and perseverance, and recognizing that “𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘶𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘶𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵.” He reminded everyone that “the other name of hope is faith; hence, prayer is vital.” He also quoted the words of St. Vincent de Paul: “𝘎𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.” After his talk, they celebrated the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Kenneth, with Fr. Christian as the concelebrating priest.

The common recollection is an annual activity for all Vincentian seminarians from the different formation houses, fostering friendship and deepening collaboration among them.

𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗔 𝗦𝗔𝗡 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘!
Today, we honor our patron saint and founder, who inspires us to follow in his footsteps in serving the poor, his masters. We began the day with a solemn Lauds at De Paul House Chapel, followed by a hearty breakfast. Together with some priests, we shared a joyful time dancing and playing games. At midday, we had lunch at St. Vincent Seminary, joining the birthday celebration of its superior and rector, Fr. Kenneth Centeno, CM. In the evening, at 6:00 PM, we attended a Pontifical Mass at Santuario de San Vicente de Paul, presided over by Fr. King Gaza, CM, and later enjoyed a festive dinner at the SVS covered court.

As we celebrate our patron saint on his feast day, it is both a source of pride and a challenge: pride to be called Vincentian seminarians, and a challenge to deepen our commitment, value our formation, and stay focused on the mission ahead. St. Vincent de Paul, pray for us.

The CM seminarians just concluded their courtesy call to their Provincial Visitor, Rev. Fr. Peter Solis, CM—affectionately known as Fr. Popo—together with a welcome celebration for their Orientation and College seminarians, as well as a simple celebration for their three newly ordained deacons: Rev. Soc Leonard Cardiño, CM, Rev. Arvel Pam Anthony Cui, CM, and Rev. Manuel Victor Sapitula, CM.

At the start of the program, Fr. Popo gave an inspirational message to the seminarians, using three metaphors—a laser beam, a magnifying glass, and LODI. He said:

Afterwards, Sem. Hasel Misa, CM, introduced the CM-Seminarians' Council, along with the Orientation Year and College seminarians, to Fr. Popo. The gathering concluded with a simple dinner and short, fun-filled activities.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝑺𝒐𝒄 𝑳𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒊ñ𝒐, 𝑪𝑴, 𝑨𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒍 𝑷𝒂𝒎 𝑨𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒚 𝑪𝒖𝒊, 𝑪𝑴, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒖𝒆𝒍 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒂, 𝑪𝑴, 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔!

At 7:30 AM today, the Most Reverend Antonio R. Tobias, D.D., officiated the ordination to the Sacred Order of Deacons for seminarians Soc, Arvel, and Manu, with our CM priests from various houses nationwide serving as concelebrants. Afterwards, a simple reception with snacks was held at the SVS covered court.

All the CM seminarians are overjoyed and grateful as their brothers are now deacons. We wish them strength in all their endeavors, zeal in serving the community and the poor, and perseverance as they dedicate themselves to their ministries.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee.
