Continuing from last Sunday’s challenge in “Called to Witness Part 1: Spread the Word, Save the World,” we now move into Part 2: Pentecost: The Church Empowerment Program, drawn from Acts 2:1–11 (MBB).

In this message, we explore how the early Church was empowered by the Holy Spirit to boldly witness for Christ, not through emotion or spectacle, but by supernatural equipping to proclaim the Gospel to the nations.

Did we know that the Holy Spirit is often the most neglected Person in the modern-day Church and the forgotten power of the Church?

In connection with that, Pentecost is also known as the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot), one of the three major annual festivals in the Jewish calendar: all of these feasts are characterized by the offering of the first fruits.

* Feast of Passover (Pesach): Firstfruits of the barley harvest

* Feast of Weeks (Shavuot/Pentecost): Firstfruits of the wheat harvest

* Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot): Firstfruits of the olive and grape harvest

Pentecost marks the birth of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There are three major manifestations of the coming of the Holy Spirit as recorded in Acts 2:1-4 (NIV): rushing wind, tongues of fire, and speaking in other tongues.

As we can see in Acts 2:4-11, there was a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which the disciples personally experienced.

What Is the Key to This Massive Revival and Evangelism? Acts 1:13–15 (AMPC) shows the early disciples actively engaged in prayer as they waited together in the upper room. Likewise, the Church needs to pray, to intercede in the Spirit!

To conclude, Ptr. Renen strongly emphasized that ACTIVELY WAITING WHILE PRAYING IS THE KEY TO EXPERIENCING THE ENORMOUS, EXTRAORDINARY PRESENCE AND POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!

What if a single message could ignite a renewed purpose within you? Last Sunday, Pastor Renen's preaching, "CALLED TO WITNESS" (Spread the Word, Save the World), did just that. Drawn from Acts 1:4-8 (MBB), it was a timely and powerful call to action.

A profound truth echoes: God is in the business of saving souls. He has always called people to be His witnesses, to stand as living testaments to the boundless love, overflowing grace, and undeniable goodness they've personally encountered in Him.

The primary testimony of these witnesses is that Jesus is alive. His resurrection isn't mere hearsay; it's a confirmed reality, proven by His own powerful appearances after suffering. The content of this testimony is the Good News of Salvation, a message that, even in this modern era, remains the single most effective tool for evangelism

Today, As Christ’s believers and disciples, why do we have to witness/testify?

1. Because Jesus loves the soul of the mankind. (John 3:16). He gave everything for the soul of mankind.

2. Because God wants everyone to be saved. (1 Timothy 2:3-6). His desire is for every individual to find redemption.

3. Because it is the main calling of the church. (Matthew 28:19-20). We are commanded to go, make disciples, and spread this life-altering truth.

4. Because we are accountable to God for the blood of mankind. (Ezekiel 3:16-21). The blood of humanity, in a sense, rests on our hands if we remain silent.

5. Because Jesus will surely return. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-2). "THE DAY OF THE LORD" is coming—a day of judgment, deliverance, and His second coming, including the rapture of believers.

6. Because the end is near. (Matthew 24:3-14). The signs are clear, urging us to act with urgency and purpose.

In essence, this message stresses witnessing is a divine command, driven by God’s love and the imminent return of Christ. This makes sharing the Gospel not just a duty, but an urgent and vital responsibility for every single believer.

Are you ready to embrace this powerful calling and share the Good News with those around you?

How empowering this first Sunday of July is as two humble servants of God shared an exceptional, full-of-learning, and remarkable message of truth.

Using the "Ang Bible" version in Matthew 6:25-30, Sis Ellaine Dealca clearly delivered the message for us to know our worth in this anxious age. She noted that we are now living in an anxious age, and the cause of anxiousness varies depending on each season.

She also shared some valuable tips on how to live and respond in this anxious age such as;
Know your priorities.
Know that God provides and
Know How Important You Are to God

Knowing our worth as infinitely valued by the Creator is a cure for this anxious age. It provides security in this world that is now full of uncertainties. It allows us to face every season with confidence. It empowers us to live to the fullest.

On the other hand, Pastor Carche Rosende shared intergenerational learning in the context of Deuteronomy 6:1-3, emphasizing the importance of keeping our generation in God.

Despite of today's problem such as distraction, doubt and emotional turmoil, we were encouraged to keep our generation and remember to Teach our Children About God; Teach our Children to Love God; and Teach our Children to Call on God. He also encouraged us not to be laxed in teaching our children the ways of the Lord, so they won't be lazy in teaching their own children.

Both of them ended by encouraging us to know God more, call on His name, and to develop more our relationship in Christ.

We had the honor of hearing the message from two of our associate pastors last Sunday, June 29, 2025. And God reminded us of something significant through their messages.

In the morning service, Pastor Johnedel shared this message about life’s meaning: through the reflection of King Solomon, after experiencing everything life had to offer, he still found it meaningless. When life doesn’t make sense, know that… Life is not all about just being happy, not all about gaining fame and wealth, and not all about satisfying the flesh, because the true meaning of life can only be found in the Lord Jesus Christ.

While in the afternoon service, Pastor Edward shared a message that, while in Roman custody, Paul wrote to the Philippians to thank them for their support, encourage unity, and remind them to live joyfully despite their circumstances. He asked this question: as citizens of heaven, how should we live here in this lost and broken world? We must pursue peace and reconciliation, seek God continually through prayer and petition, cultivate Christ-centered thinking, and put God's word into practice.

Lastly, the culmination of all the things that we have learned from God and from His servants is the application of His Word in our lives. Let us turn our doctrine into daily obedience, our theology into our biography, and our beliefs into behaviors.

It was a powerful and learning-filled Sunday as Pastor Renen Salao talked about how Words are powerful in his preaching entitled, “WHATEVER YOU SAY MATTERS TO GOD” from Proverbs 18:20-21.

Our words hold immense power, capable of building up or tearing down, and leading to either positive or negative consequences. From the story of the Israelites’ journey to the promised land, the complaints, murmuring, rebellion, slander, and lies of the older generation in the desert prevented them from entering the promised land, our unbelief and negative speech can also hinder us from experiencing God's blessings. The influence of words is so profound that the elders, by inciting rebellion and by speaking against God's anointed Leader/s, led many astray. Because of their words, their generation (20 years and above) dropped dead in the wilderness.

Numbers 14:28-29
[28] Now tell them this: ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I WILL DO TO YOU THE VERY THINGS I HEARD YOU SAY. [29] You will all drop dead in this wilderness! Because you complained against me, every one of you who is twenty years old or older and was included in the registration will die.

And just as negative confessions can hinder us from enjoying God's blessings, on the other hand, confession or declaration of faith in the Lordship of Christ plays a crucial role in our salvation experience, as highlighted in Romans 10:9-10.

Ultimately, if we desire a happy life, we must recognize the weight of our words, for "Whatever We Say Matters to God."

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY
(True Freedom In Christ)

It was a back-to-back celebration as we altogether celebrated Fathers' Day and Independence Day last June 15, 2025.

Also, another reason to celebrate is that we were encouraged, motivated, and empowered by the word of God, knowing that we have been set free.

In John 8:31-36, we have talked over some prevailing truths about real freedom and independence such as;

(A) True Freedom is Found in Jesus Christ alone.
(B) By Believing in Christ, sin will no longer be our master
(C) This Freedom is Perfect, Complete and Unquestionable

John 8:36 proclaims that "So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free."

While Galatians 5:1 is clear stating that, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

It was concluded that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Law. Through Him, sin has no hold on us. So if the Son sets us free, we are free indeed! Malaya ka na! Unquestionably Free!
Happy Independence Day! 🇵🇭

The book of Philippians is the Apostle Paul’s letter of joy and commendation; that’s why it is traditionally called the “Epistle of Joy.”

Did you know that the Bible has something to say about giving? The word “give” in the Bible is used 2162 times.

Let’s now look at The Blessings of Their Generosity, as Pastor Renen shared with us.

They blessed Apostle Paul greatly.
Aside from their gifts, They were Paul's Joy and Inspiration in the midst of hardship in the ministry.

There’s a promised increase in their heavenly account. [17] Not that I seek the gift itself, but I do seek the PROFIT which INCREASES to your [HEAVENLY] ACCOUNT [the blessing which is accumulating for you].

Their gifts have been a fragrant aroma pleasing to God. [18] … an ACCEPTABLE SACRIFICE which GOD WELCOMES and in which He DELIGHTS.

When we exercise generosity, we do it for God, not for the people!

They received the declaration of the apostolic blessing. [19] And MY GOD will liberally supply (FILL UNTIL FULL) your every need according to His RICHES in glory in CHRIST JESUS.

Philippians knew their journey and destiny in Christ that's why they didn't hesitate to help Paul in fulfilling his ministry. THEY WERE GREAT PARTNERS BECAUSE THEY KNEW THE SOURCE!

The man of God, Apostle Paul glorified the Lord because of the goodness of their hearts. God’s people must be an inspiration for the leaders, to the extent na kapag nagpray ang lingkod ng Diyos ay napapapuri kay Lord. Hindi napapaluha sa lungkot kundi sa galak!

And for the last part, as our pastor powerfully shared, the lesson we draw from the book of Philippians is this: “GOD’S GLORIOUS RICHES IN CHRIST JESUS ARE OUR UNLIMITED SOURCE OF PROVISION! TO STAY IN THE COURSE, WE MUST KNOW THE SOURCE!”

ALWAYS INCREASING, NEVER DECREASING

"LORD, INCREASE OUR FAITH!"

This message is based on the words of the apostles in Luke 17:5-6 (NIV), where they said to the Lord, “Increase our faith! ”

Prayer for ‘FAITH INCREASE’ is a prayer that expresses boldness, because when we pray for the increase of faith, that means we’re ready to see a new dimension of God’s move.

As Pastor Renen shared with us, there are key principles on how our faith can increase;

• MAKE SURE THAT OUR FAITH IS ALREADY PRESENT, because increase will only happen if something is already existing.

• WHEN OUR FAITH IS CONFESSED AND DECLARED, faith is being developed.

• WHEN OUR UNDERSTANDING OF GOD AND HIS WORD INCREASES, faith will naturally grow because faith is always based on God’s Word and God’s Work.

Our faith may be as small as a “mustard seed,” but as it grows and increases, we will begin to experience a new dimension of God’s presence and power.

In 1 Kings 3:3-14, we learn that King Solomon demonstrated extraordinary generosity by offering 1,000 burnt offerings to the Lord at Gibeon. His generous heart pleased God, and in return, God appeared to him in a dream and said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you! ”

Rather than asking for riches or power, Solomon humbly asked for wisdom to govern God’s people. God was so pleased with this selfless request that He not only granted Solomon unparalleled wisdom but also gave him wealth and whatever he could desire, a reflection of the overwhelming generosity of the King.

Solomon's generosity was clearly inherited from his father, King David, who demonstrated deep reverence for God through sacrificial giving.

• 2 Samuel 24:21-25
David insisted on paying for the altar and sacrifices, saying, “I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing."

• 1 Chronicles 29:2-5
David gave from his personal treasures to build the temple, modeling a heart of lavish devotion to God.

In conclusion, generosity opens the door to divine favor. When we give sacrificially and selflessly, like David and Solomon, we position ourselves to receive not only what we ask but far more than we can imagine. Consecrating ourselves to the Lord is one of the greatest expressions of generosity, as it involves offering our whole lives in devotion to Him.

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, we received a profound blend of reminders and encouragement, as life-altering messages from God's Word filled the day.

Sis. Ellaine Dealca shared the experience of the Israelites in Isaiah 60. They were promised to become a great nation after immense hardship, but the waiting period served as a challenging distance between the promise and its fulfillment. Despite its challenges, waiting is important because it serves as a crucible for character development. She concluded that knowing the character of the One who promised transforms waiting from an unbearable burden into an act of faith.

This was followed by a message shared by Ptr. Carche Rosende, emphasizing that we should bear the message of the cross, not merely its image. He pointed out a historical problem: people often concentrate on the source of God’s miracles rather than on God Himself. During the Crucifixion, the entire assembly of heaven watched as Jesus interceded and asked for forgiveness. The overall message was not about self-reflection in this specific context, but a direct proclamation of the message of the Cross: "Mahal ka, at Mahalaga ka!”
