Today marks the start of Semana Santa or Holy Week 2026. As we remember Jesusโ€™ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, letโ€™s do more than just wave our palms. Letโ€™s open our hearts to truly walk with Him through the passion, the silence of the cross, and eventually, the joy of the resurrection.
May our "Hosannas" today give us the strength to stay faithful and present through the long week ahead. Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Holy Week.

"Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. Join us as we commemorate the 84th Anniversary of the Establishment of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, canonically erected on March 21, 1942, originally under the title of Sta. Teresita del Niรฑo Jesus.

This celebration recalls the founding of the parish, while we continue our Jubilee Year marking the 75th anniversary of the blessing of the present church and the transfer of the image of Our Lady of Lourdes in 1951, which began on November 28, 2025.

All are invited.

As we begin these 40 days of Lent, letโ€™s take the pressure off "performing" and instead focus on returningโ€”returning to prayer, returning to kindness, and returning to the Heart that created us from the very dust we carry today.

What a day of faith, healing, and overflowing devotion.

From the Feast Day Mass to the candlelit procession, February 11 revealed the strength of a people who believe and walk with Mary. Every step, every prayer, every song offered came from the heart. Truly one of the most attended Marian events in the country.

In this 75th year of grace, we hold these moments close and we will cherish them as we journey toward the next milestone, the centenary celebration.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lady of Lourdes, the 134th Lourdes Fiesta in our country, and the 34th World Day for the Sick.
We offer our prayers for all who are suffering, asking for the intercession of the Health of the Sick.

On February 11, 1858, the Virgin Mary appeared for the first time to St. Bernadette Soubirous at the Grotto of Massabielle in Lourdes, France. She appeared 18 times, calling for prayer for sinners and penance, requesting that a chapel be built, and instructing, "Go tell the priests to come here in procession." On March 25, she revealed herself, telling Bernadette in the local dialect: "Que soy era Immaculada Concepciou" ("I am the Immaculate Conception").

For 134 years, the Philippines has been deeply blessed by this devotion, which was officially brought to our shores by the Capuchin Fathers in 1892, starting in Intramuros before spreading to every corner of our islands.

As altar servers, we look to the humility of Saint Bernadette, who was chosen to behold this message. Inspired by her, may we be like Mary in her fiat, serving at the altar not to be noticed, but with a humble heart to serve the Church.

Happy Fiesta to all the devotees of our patroness, Our Lady of Lourdes, and to our parish, the NATIONAL SHRINE of OUR LADY of LOURDES QUEZON CITY!

On February 11, 2026, in solemn honor of Our Lady of Lourdes, we present the Official Order of Procession for the Grand Procession 2026.

The Opening Rites will take place at Kanlaon Street, and the Maringal na Pagbalik will be held at the Grade School Grounds of Lourdes School, Quezon City.

For the safety and order of the celebration, please be advised that N.S. Amoranto Avenue and Kanlaon Street around the church perimeter are declared No Parking and Towing Zones. Kindly make the necessary adjustments and follow traffic advisories.

Let us all journey with Mary through Christ as one prayerful community.
