Don't look around, Look up! | Elder Yoon Hwan Choi of the Seventy

It is never too late to look up to Jesus Christ. His arms are always open to you. Hold on to your faith in those hard times. Through the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, “all things shall work together for [your] good.” (Doctrine and Covenants 100:15)

Have you ever thought about the tremendous risk our Father in Heaven takes each time He sends a child to earth?

In Heavenly Father’s plan, families’ relationships are meant to be eternal. This is why, as a parent, you never give up, even if you are not proud of how things went in the past.

Just as Jesus Christ is the strength of youth, Jesus Christ is also the strength of parents.

Have you ever lost something special?

A man who had a son that didn’t want to wait for the money he would get when he was older. He took the money and left home. He did things that were wrong and spent his money foolishly.

When all of his money was gone, he felt sad about what he had done. He went home, hoping his father would forgive him. When the father saw his son coming back home, he was so happy that he ran to meet him and welcomed him with love. Even though the son had been disobedient, he was still precious to his father.

We can follow in Jesus’s footsteps by looking for those who are far away from Heavenly Father, helping them return to Him, and welcoming them with love.

Have you ever been lost? Or maybe you decided to go your own way even though someone you could trust told you where to go?

— No matter how you got lost, once you realized you were lost, the feeling was the same frustrated, confused, perhaps panicked and desperate, even if you stubbornly persisted in getting more lost. And imagine how your parents would’ve felt if they couldn’t find you.

Jesus Christ’s parables about lost things teach us about God’s love, our individual worth, and not judging others unrighteously.
