Title: Life begins @ 40
📖 Hebrews 11:24-26
💬 Elder John

The bible is clear that God considers 40 days a spiritually significant time period. Whenever God wanted to prepare someone for his purpose, he took 40 days.

I.Moses Faith Refuses Recognition (v24)
Instead of being called the Prince of Egypt, he rather wanted to be aligned himself to the Hebrews which is his lineage .
Peter and the angel of God remind others to worship God alone not them because they are also servants of God used for His glory and purpose
(Acts 10:25-26, Revelation 19:10)

II. Moses Faith Rejects Riches (v25)
He chose to suffer alongside them rather than live in luxury while they were oppressed.
"When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his own people, the Israelites.
Acts 7:23
There are also other believers who chose faith over riches like Apollo's and Joseph (whom was called Barnabas)
(Acts 18:24, Acts 4:36-37)

III. Moses Faith Regards Righteousness (vv24-26)
He valued his connection to God and the future of his people more than the immediate power of the Egyptian throne. He "looked ahead to his reward," valuing spiritual purpose over political status.
He tried to reconcile two Israelites who were fighting.
Acts 7:26

Reflection:
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.. Romans 8:18

How does our Faith move in us?
Does it teach us to refuse recognition of ourselves and more of God?
Does it reject the riches of the world but the riches of the above?
Does it regard the righteousness of God rather than the world?

Prayer:
Lord, this promise feels incredible—it is bold and generous to think that you will answer whatever I ask (2 Corinthians 3:4; 1 John 3:1). However, this confidence doesn't come from my own; it comes from knowing You. Because of our relationship, I understand Your heart well enough to want what You want. I trust that Your love is like a vinedresser’s love, tender and personal care.
