Tonight, we gathered in love and remembrance of Bro. Julito Escobedo. 🕊️

We heard inspired messages grounded in the gospel truths about death and the promise of resurrection — a reminder that goodbyes here are not the end.

Bro. Julito will always be remembered for his kindness and quiet goodness. His life touched many hearts in Puerto Princesa 2nd Ward, and his memory will continue to bless us.

Praying for strength, comfort, and peace for his family during this time. ❤️

Today, we honor and express our heartfelt gratitude to Sister Airaa Mae Maraneta Escleto for her dedicated service as Primary President in Puerto Princesa 2nd Ward. ❤️

Her love for the Primary children, teachers, and music leaders was truly felt. The way she treated everyone with kindness, patience, and genuine care showed how much she valued her calling and her service to the Lord.

Her sweet gesture of preparing treats for the Primary children and leaders was more than just a simple gift — it was her way of saying thank you, and it reflected the beautiful heart she has.

Sister Airaa, thank you for magnifying your calling so well. Your service made a lasting impact in our ward, and we will always appreciate the light you brought to the Primary. 🥰

“Love in Action: A Valentine Service Adventure”

February 14 became more than just a day of pink and red decorations inside Malvar Chapel. It became a sacred reminder that love is not only spoken. It is lived. It is given. It is served.

Guided by the scripture in Mosiah 2:17, the children learned that when we serve others, we are truly serving God. Sister Airaa tenderly reminded everyone through the story of Jesus washing His disciples’ feet that the greatest love is shown through humble service. Love kneels. Love helps. Love acts.

As they sang “Give Said the Little Stream,” led by Sister Shamari, their small hands moved with simple actions for “give” and “help.” Yet behind those simple gestures was a powerful truth. Even small hands can do big things when filled with Christlike love.

Then came the adventure.
The children poured their hearts into “Love Letters for the Missionaries,” drawing and writing messages of gratitude. In their own simple words, they strengthened those who serve far from home. They understood that appreciation is also an act of love.

At the “Helping Hands Hearts” activity, they wrote promises of service inside them like “Help mom wash dishes.” “Helping with the laudry.” “Sweep the floor at home” Those paper hands on the wall were more than decorations. They were commitments. Visible reminders that love begins at home.

And finally, the sweetest moment. The “Kindness Cupcake.” Each child chose someone to give their cupcake to. Not to keep. But to give. Because love grows when it is shared.

The chapel was filled with Valentine colors, laughter, and joy. But more than that, it was filled with understanding. The children left knowing that Valentine’s Day is not just about receiving gifts. It is about becoming a gift.

That afternoon, love was not just celebrated. It was practiced. And in their small but sincere ways, our Primary children truly lived “Love in Action.” 💕

Activity Title: “Take Jesus’ Hand and Walk with Him”
(Inspired by the 2026 Youth Theme: “Walk with Me” — Moses 6:34)

We started 2026 with happy hearts and willing feet as our Primary children gathered for an activity centered on one simple but powerful invitation: to walk with Jesus.
The purpose of this activity was simple yet meaningful. To help our Primary children understand what it really means to “walk with Jesus” every day. Not just in words, but in small, joyful actions like praying, choosing kindness, serving others, and trusting Him even when the path feels uncertain. At the same time, it was a beautiful chance for them to strengthen friendships and feel that they belong.

Before the lesson began, the children enjoyed an icebreaker that instantly filled the room with laughter and excitement. Some of the children were blindfolded and gently guided by their friends through a path with obstacles. As they walked carefully, trusting the one leading them, they learned an important gospel truth in a very simple way. That walking becomes easier when we trust, and when we help one another. Just like how we trust Jesus to lead us, and how we can help others along the way.

The gospel focus of the activity was trusting Jesus and helping others, beautifully taught during the lesson led by the Primary President. The children listened, shared, and felt the message in their own little ways.
Before the lesson ended, each child received a footprint bookmark with the words:
“This year I will walk with Jesus by ________.”
It was heartwarming to see them write their answers. Some wrote about praying more, being kind, obeying parents, helping friends, and loving Jesus. Simple words, but filled with sincere faith.

One of the most meaningful moments was when the children placed their thumbprints on a picture of Jesus Christ walking with children. Each thumbprint became a “footprint”, a sweet symbol of their promise and willingness to walk with Him throughout 2026. A simple act, yet full of meaning.

The activity was filled with joy, learning, and the Spirit. But the sweetness didn’t end there.
The Primary children surprised their Primary President, who will soon be leaving the ward. The love, appreciation, and pure feelings expressed by the children were truly touching. It was one of those moments that quietly reminds us why we serve. It filled our hearts to see and feel how deeply the children care.
This activity reminded us that walking with Jesus doesn’t have to be complicated. It begins with trust, small steps, and hearts willing to follow Him, together.

And as we move forward into 2026, we walk on with faith, hand in hand with the Savior, guided by His love and light.
