We learned last Sunday that it is by anchoring ourselves to God's character that strengthens us to trust in Him even when faith doesn't make sense. Also, we were able to send off our Ten Days team to Timor-Leste with our prayer of blessing as a church.

It's often in these moments of unconventional faith that God's power is most clearly revealed. God's character is what anchors our trust in His promises when we lack understanding.

Biblical foundations need to be established before believers progress to maturity, which is Christlikeness. Through this class, we want to see participants go deeper in their knowledge and experience of God, so that each one will be strongly established in the faith, which is essential for a lifelong walk with God.

The Spiritual Foundations class is made up of ten chapters, each of which are broken down into several sessions, and starts with Victory Day. All chapters include times of Bible teaching, worship, prayer, and personal ministry to ensure that we not only understand but also experience the freedom and life that Christ won for us at the cross.

Singles Gathering | July 30, 2026

Purpose at Work: Making Every Workday Count

Singles were greatly encouraged and reminded that work is not a burden or a curse, but a blessing and a calling from God.

We learned how to honor God in our work:

1. Work for God (Colossians 3:23)
Work with excellence as unto the Lord, not merely for people. When we work for God's glory, our work takes on eternal significance, becomes a reflection of His character, and serves as a mission field where we can shine His light.

2. Work with God (Proverbs 16:3, 16:9)
Surrender your work to God and trust Him with the results. Rather than relying solely on our own strength, we partner with Him by seeking His guidance, following His principles, and giving Him the glory for every success and accomplishment.

May we continue to be encouraged and strengthened through God's Word and fellowship, and be a Christlike influence in our workplaces and communities. Every workday is another opportunity to glorify God.

Joshua had a huge task of filling in the shoes of Moses and leading God's people in conquering the Promised Land that he felt inadequate to do. But God's Promise of His Presence strengthened Joshua to take on what's intimidating to him. God's presence is our source of courage as we move forward.
