"See what love the Father has bestowed on us, that we may be called children of God."
1 John 3:1
Last July 19, our chapter gathered at the San Carlos Borromeo Chapel to pause, pray, and once again remember where we truly belong, not in our achievements, failures, titles, or circumstances, but in the loving embrace of our Father.
The night unfolded as a journey through the different seasons of love.
🤍 Opening Worship – Falling in Love
Like the beginning of every relationship, we were reminded of the joy of encountering God for the first time, a love that is beautiful, exciting, and freely given.
🤍 Chapter Assembly – He Loved Us First
Inspired by "Dilexit Nos", we reflected on a simple yet life-changing truth: our lives do not begin with what we can do for God, but with recognizing how deeply He loves us. We examined the condition of our hearts, our fears, unforgiveness, distractions, pride, and indifference, and discovered that the Heart of Jesus is the remedy for every wounded heart.
Through H.E.A.R.T., we were invited to imitate Christ by being:
• Humble Before God
• Embracing Others with Compassion
• Anchored in the Father's Love
• Reaching Out in Mission
• Trusting God Completely
Because when we know that "He loved us first", everything we do for God and for others becomes an overflow of the love we have first received from Him.
🤍 Mid-Worship & Open Sharing – Building Trust
As we shared our stories, we were reminded that love is not only found in joyful beginnings but also in seasons of waiting, disappointments, unanswered prayers, and surrender. Trust grows when we continue choosing God even when we do not understand.
🤍 PraiseFest – Building Commitment
The night ended with hearts renewed in worship, a reminder that a relationship rooted in Christ is one that remains steadfast through every season. Love matures into commitment, and commitment becomes a life completely surrendered to God.
As we enter the second half of the year, may we never forget:
We are not defined by our accomplishments or our failures.
We are His beloved children.
And to Him we belong.
"We love because He first loved us."
