๐ง๐พ was an Augustinian Recollect friar, missionary, priest and bishop who dedicated his life to serving the Church in the Philippines, Colombia ๐บ๐๐ฝ ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐บ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐พ๐๐ ๐๐ฟ ๐ฏ๐๐พ๐๐๐ ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐ผ๐พ๐๐บ. Despite facing civil war, persecution of the Church, rising anticlericalism and the suffering of cancer, he remained a ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ต๐ณ๐๐น ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฑ, defending the Church while patiently caring for the people entrusted to him. His unwavering dedication to evangelization, pastoral service and fidelity to Christ made him a powerful example of perseverance amid suffering. For this reason, he is honored as a ๐บ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฟ๐, inspiring the faithful to remain steadfast in their vocation and trust in God even in times of trial.
