SOLEMN INVESTITURE

On the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Community of Seminario de San Jose will celebrate the Solemn Investiture of Cassock and Surplice of the Discipleship Stage 3 – Class Missionary.

The celebration will be presided by Most Rev. Broderick S. Pabillo, Vicar Apostolic of Taytay.

Pledge to Saint Joseph

As part of our Seminary Formation, the Seminario de San Jose community held the Pledge to St. Joseph. This activity allows the neophytes to pledge their dedication and the senior members to renew their commitment, seeking the guidance and intercession of St. Joseph.

Yesterday, June 22, 2026, the community of Seminario de San Jose held their conference on the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012 and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Facilitated by Atty. Vanessa Bautista from the Commission on Human Rights, the event took place at the Seminario de San Jose Auditorium in Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City.

The conference aimed to raise awareness among the seminarians regarding illegal drugs and human trafficking.

The Propaedeutic and Discipleship Stage Seminarians of Seminario de San Jose officially began their three-day retreat on June 4, 2026, facilitated by Mr. John Paul D. Reloj, Ph.D., RGC. With the theme “Kilalanin, Ipanalangin, Ibahagi: A Journey to Wholeness,” the retreat gathers seminarians in prayer, reflection, and personal growth as they continue their journey of formation.

Welcome Back, Seminarians!

This day marked the beginning of the Formation Year 2026–2027 as the seminarians returned to the seminary to continue their journey of formation.

On the same day, the SDSJ Discipleship Stage Community warmly welcomed its newest members, the Class of Evangelizers, as they embarked on a new chapter of formation in the Discipleship Stage.

May this academic and formation year be filled with growth, faith, and a deeper commitment to the call of discipleship.

Today, March 19, 2026, the community of Seminario de San Jose celebrates the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, the Husband of Mary.

In a spirit of love and faith, we joyfully honor our beloved patron, St. Joseph. A loving father and a faithful, humble servant, may his example inspire all of us to follow the holy will of God. May the story of his life move us to persevere in faith and grow in holiness.

The celebration of the Holy Eucharist was presided over by Rev. Fr. Manuel Deems Aston, concelebrated with the priest formators and guest priests. The community also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Hijos Choir for providing the music during the Mass.

We likewise thank our Mass sponsors: all parishes within Metro Puerto, various organizations, pastoral areas, parents of high school students, and the benefactors of the seminary.

Today, March 19, 2026, the community of Seminario de San Jose joyfully held a Karakol in honor of Saint Joseph, our beloved patron.

With vibrant music from the drum and lyre, and hearts lifted in song and dance, we celebrate this solemnity as one community of faith. In every step, rhythm, and joyful smile, we express our love and devotion to St. Joseph, whose life of humility and faith continues to inspire us.

May our joyful celebration reflect our gratitude for his continuous intercession and deepen our commitment to follow God’s calling.

Ninth Day of the Novena for the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, the Husband of Mary

The community of Seminario de San Jose, together with the parishioners of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish, BCBP (South West), and PPTA officers, gathered to celebrate the ninth day of the Novena in honor of St. Joseph. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Buddy Saturnino and concelebrated by the priest formators.
