Bishop Socrates Mesiona, MSP will ordain Amigonian Deacon John Bhe Gutierrez Neduaza, TC to the sacred order of the priesthood on July 18, 2026, at Divine Mercy Parish in Sicsican, Puerto Princesa City.
Neduaza, 35, was born on January 30, 1991, in Makati City. He belongs to the Religious Tertiary Capuchins of Our Lady of Sorrows (Amigonians)-Philippines.
His priestly formation began at St. Paul Seminary in Cavite, where he studied Philosophy from 2015 to 2017. He later pursued theological studies at the Facultad de Teologia San Vicente Ferrer de Valencia, Spain from 2021 to 2023, and completed his theological formation at the San Carlos Graduate School of Theology in Makati from 2023 to 2025.
As part of his pastoral formation, Neduaza served at Colegio Nuestra Seรฑora de Monte Sion in Torrent, Valencia, Spain (2021โ2023), Friendship HomeโFr. Luis Amigรณ Center in Manila (2023โ2025), and is currently assigned to Friendship HomeโPalawan, where he continues his ministry.
He was ordained to the diaconate on June 7, 2025, at Mater Dolorosa Parish in Taguig City by Archbishop Socrates Villegas, of Lingayen-Dagupan.
Explaining the significance of having his priestly ordination in Palawan, Neduaza said the choice of venue was inspired by the name of the parish itself.
โAng Divine Mercy ay paalala sa akin na ang habag at awa ng Diyos ang dahilan kung bakit ako nagpapatuloy sa aking bokasyon at kung bakit ako mao-ordain bilang pari,โ Neduaza said. (via K. Santos)
