Ngunit ang buhay na ito ay mayroon ako sa pamamagitan ng pananampalataya sa Anak ng Diyos - sa pamamagitan ng paniniwala kay Cristo bilang hain para sa kasalanan; sapagkat minahal Niya ako, at dahil ginawa Niya ito ay ibinigay Niya ang Kanyang sarili para sa akin - ginawa ang Kanyang sarili na isang hain hanggang sa kamatayan, upang ako ay maligtas mula sa mapait na sakit ng kamatayan na walang hanggan.

Every good man loves his relations; and yet, if he is a disciple of Christ, he must comparatively hate them, must love them less than Christ. Not that their persons must be in any degree hated, but our comfort and satisfaction in them must be lost and swallowed up in our love to Christ.
