Please pray for a ministry partner. It's wonderful to pray for a marriage filled with love, joy, peace, and companionship. ๐ฟ
However, pray for a union that serves God together if you desire a marriage that not only endures but flourishes and leaves a legacy.
Serving God together makes a couple more than just a happy couple; they are an effective force for His Kingdom. They are a team with a divine mission, a living example of grace, and a haven in each other's storms.
Why does this matter so much?
Because marriage is a journey full of valleys and storms. You cannot be carried away if you are both grounded in the same Rock. When you are battling the same spiritual conflicts, you fight back-to-back rather than face-to-face. You are constructing on the same unshakeable base. When only one person bears the torch of faith, things get extremely difficult.
A mismatch in priorities, values, and ultimate purpose can lead to loneliness that no amount of friendship will fix. The seeker of God may feel as if they are journeying alone on the path, while the other remains stationary.
So, make your prayers specific.
๐ทAsk God for: ยท Choose a partner who prioritizes Christ and will love you sacrificially.
โA heart that prioritizes God's will over your own, enabling you to pursue it together.
โA shared passion for serving transforms your home into a lighthouse, not merely a haven.
โ๏ธWait for the person you can pray, worship, and serve with.
โ๏ธWait for the person who would not only hold your hand, but also kneel with you in prayer.
โ๏ธWait for the collaboration in which you may look at each other and say, "Let's serve God together."
It is worth the wait. A marriage united in Christ is a blessing to you, a testimony to the world, and an offering of worship to God.
"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." - Joshua 24:15
