✝️ 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟… 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗦

It happens in seconds…

Many do it automatically.

But few truly understand it.

✝️ 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦

Just before the Gospel is proclaimed…

We trace small crosses on:

✝️ The forehead
✝️ The lips
✝️ The chest

This is not random.

It is deeply intentional.

✝️ 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗: 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗦

Each gesture is a silent prayer:

✝️ On the forehead — “May God’s Word be in my mind”
✝️ On the lips — “May I proclaim His Word”
✝️ On the heart — “May I love and live His Word”

It is a full response to the Gospel.

Mind.

Speech.

Heart.

✝️ 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗗: 𝗜𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

It starts quietly…

But it prepares the soul.

We are not just listening to a reading.

We are receiving the living Word of God.

So the Church teaches us to ready ourselves—completely.

✝️ 𝗗𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛

These small gestures are not routine.

They are a commitment.

To think, speak, and live the Gospel.

✝️ 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥

Lord,
place Your Word in my mind,
on my lips,
and in my heart.

That I may live it faithfully.
