𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐒

“And you yourself a sword will pierce.” — Luke 2:35

Today, the Church commemorates the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows, contemplating the Blessed Virgin Mary as she faithfully stood with her Son throughout His suffering and Passion.

From the prophecy of Simeon to the death of Jesus on the Cross, Mary’s heart was pierced by sorrow. Yet, she never abandoned her faith or turned away from God. At the foot of the Cross, she remained—a Mother filled with sorrow, but also with unwavering faith, hope, and love.

Today, we remember the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary and unite our own pains, struggles, and sufferings with those of Christ. Mary teaches us that sorrow does not mean the absence of faith. Even in our darkest moments, we are invited to remain close to God and to trust in His loving plan.

May Our Sorrowful Mother accompany all those who are suffering, grieving, or carrying heavy crosses. Through her maternal intercession, may we find comfort, strength, and hope in Christ.

𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐓. 𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐑

“We must speak to them with our hands by giving, before we try to speak to them with our lips.” — St. Peter Claver

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Peter Claver, Priest, a Jesuit missionary who dedicated his life to serving enslaved people arriving in Cartagena. Moved by the love of Christ, he cared for the sick and suffering, defended the dignity of the oppressed, and tirelessly brought them comfort and hope.

St. Peter Claver reminds us that authentic Christian love is expressed not only through words but, above all, through concrete acts of compassion and service. He saw Christ in those whom society had forgotten and chose to become their humble servant.

May his example inspire us to recognize the dignity of every person, especially the poor, suffering, and marginalized. May we learn to love not only with our words but also through our actions.

“Your birth, O Virgin Mother of God, proclaimed joy to the whole world.”

Today, the Church joyfully celebrates the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On this day, we give thanks to God for the gift of Mary, the woman chosen from all generations to become the Mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

The birth of Mary is a sign of hope and joy for the world. Through her humble and faithful “yes” to God, the promise of salvation was welcomed into human history. From her, the Son of God took flesh and came among us to save us.

As we celebrate the birth of our Blessed Mother, may we be inspired by her humility, obedience, and complete trust in God’s will. May her life remind us that God can accomplish great things through a heart that is open and willing to serve Him.

Today, let us rejoice with the whole Church and honor our loving Mother, who continually leads us closer to her Son.

“Whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40

Today, we remember St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, a humble servant of God who devoted her life to serving the poorest and most forgotten, seeing the face of Christ in every person she encountered. Through her compassion, simplicity, and unwavering love, she reminded the world that holiness is often found in the smallest acts of charity done with great love.

Mother Teresa teaches us that we do not need to accomplish extraordinary things to become instruments of God’s love. A kind word, a helping hand, a moment of patience, and a heart willing to serve can become beautiful offerings to the Lord when done with genuine love.

May her example inspire us to look beyond ourselves and recognize Christ in those who are suffering, forgotten, or in need. May we never be too busy to serve, too proud to humble ourselves, or too afraid to love.

“Behold, I now begin to be what I have long desired to be.” — St. Gregory the Great

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Gregory the Great, Pope and Doctor of the Church, a humble shepherd, gifted teacher, and faithful servant of Christ who dedicated his life to the renewal and service of the Church.

Though he desired a life of prayer and contemplation, St. Gregory accepted the call to serve as Pope, placing the needs of God’s people above his own desires. Through his wisdom, humility, pastoral care, and love for the liturgy, he became a remarkable witness of faithful leadership and Christian service.

His life reminds us that true leadership is not about power or recognition, but about humble service, faithfulness, and love for God’s people. May his example inspire us to use whatever gifts God has given us for the good of the Church and the service of others.

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐓. 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐖, 𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐋𝐄

“Here is a true child of Israel. There is no duplicity in him.” — John 1:47

Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of St. Bartholomew, Apostle, one of the Twelve chosen by Christ to follow Him and proclaim the Gospel to the nations.

Known in the Gospel of John as Nathanael, St. Bartholomew encountered Jesus and came to recognize Him as the Son of God and King of Israel. His life reminds us that an authentic encounter with Christ calls us to leave behind doubt and hesitation and to respond with faith, honesty, and wholehearted discipleship.

As we celebrate his feast, may we ask for the grace to follow Christ with sincere hearts, proclaim His Gospel courageously, and remain faithful to the mission entrusted to us. Like St. Bartholomew, may our encounter with Jesus transform our lives and lead us to bring others closer to Him.

𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐕𝐈𝐑𝐆𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘

“A great sign appeared in the sky: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” — Revelation 12:1

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth and as the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mary’s queenship is not one of worldly power or earthly authority. It is the queenship of a humble servant who freely gave her “yes” to God and remained faithful to Him throughout her life, even at the foot of the Cross. Because she is the Mother of Christ the King, she shares uniquely in His glory and continues to intercede for His people.

As we honor Mary, may her humility, obedience, and unwavering faith inspire us to place our lives in God’s hands. May she, our Queen and Mother, always lead us closer to her Son and teach us to proclaim with her: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.”
