The Mary Help of Christians Crusaders gathered once again for a meaningful formation—a short seminar that deepened our love and understanding of the Eucharist and gave us hope as we look forward to the future of MHCC Pangasinan.

As young people of faith, we continue to grow together—learning, sharing, and walking hand in hand toward a mission rooted in love and service. May God keep forming our hearts to be faithful to His will, humble in serving others, and courageous in spreading His love.

𝙈𝙀𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙄𝘼𝙇 𝙊𝙁 𝙎𝙏. 𝙏𝙃𝙊𝙈𝘼𝙎 𝘼𝙌𝙐𝙄𝙉𝘼𝙎 | January 28

By universal consent, Saint Thomas Aquinas stands as the preeminent spokesman of the Catholic tradition that unites reason and divine revelation. Honored as a Doctor of the Church and revered as the Angelic Doctor, he remains one of the greatest teachers in the history of the Catholic faith.

Entrusted at the age of five to the Benedictine monastery of Monte Cassino, Thomas was initially guided toward a monastic path envisioned by his family. Later sent to Naples to continue his studies, he encountered the philosophy of Aristotle—an influence that would profoundly shape his theological vision.

Defying family expectations, Thomas chose the Dominican Order in 1243, a decision that led to his imprisonment at home for over a year by his own family. Once freed, he pursued further studies in Paris and Cologne under St. Albert the Great, eventually becoming a renowned professor, theologian, and defender of the faith across Europe.

Saint Thomas Aquinas’ greatest legacy lies in his writings, where the harmony between faith and reason shines with remarkable clarity. He recognized human reason as a divine gift and affirmed that all truth—whether discovered through nature or revealed by God—ultimately comes from the same Creator.

His masterpiece, the Summa Theologiae, though left unfinished, remains one of the most influential works in Catholic theology. After a profound mystical experience following Mass in 1273, Thomas ceased writing, humbly declaring that all he had written seemed “like straw” compared to what God had revealed to him.

As Catholics, we look to Saint Thomas Aquinas as a powerful witness to the breadth, universality, and inclusiveness of the faith. May his life inspire us to faithfully exercise the gift of reason, to seek truth without fear, and to give thanks for God’s supreme revelation in Jesus Christ.

Saint Francis de Sales reminds us that holiness is not only for monks or clergy but for everyone, in every state of life. With humility, charity, and unwavering love for truth, he preached the faith not through harsh words but through patience, respect, and sincere concern for souls. His life teaches us that love is the most powerful way to lead others to God and that true devotion is lived out in daily life—through prayer, virtue, and fidelity to our vocation. As we honor him today, may we respond to his call to holiness, striving to love God deeply and serve Him faithfully where we are planted.

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃 𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒 | January 18, 2026

Today, the Church lifts her gaze to the mystery of God who chose to come to us not in power, but in littleness. The Eternal Word humbled Himself, becoming a Child—teaching us that true greatness is found in humility, obedience, and love.

In the Holy Child Jesus, we behold Christ the King who reigns not by force, but by surrender; not by domination, but by mercy. Crowned yet gentle, sovereign yet lowly, the Sto. Niño reminds us that God draws near to humanity in tenderness, inviting us to trust, to serve, and to become childlike in faith.

He is depicted as the Universal King and Salvator Mundi, holding the globe of the world—declaring that even in His small hands rests all of creation. As the only canonically crowned image of Jesus Christ in the Philippines and the Patron of the Church in our land, the Holy Child continues to gather His people, calling them back to Christlike simplicity and love.

May this feast renew in us a heart that listens, hands that serve, and a life that proclaims: Christus vincit, Christus regnat, Christus imperat.

Prayer —
Almighty God, your only Son, begotten from all ages, humbled himself as a child in Nazareth and became subject to Mary and Joseph. Grant that we may learn from his example to embrace your will in all things and, holding fast to the dignity of all, serve our lowly brothers and sisters with open hands and gentle heart. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE SACRED HEART

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, to Thee I consecrate and offer up my person and my life, my actions, trials, and sufferings, that my entire being may henceforth only be employed in loving, honoring and glorifying Thee. This is my irrevocable will, to belong entirely to Thee, and to do all for Thy love, renouncing with my whole heart all that can displease Thee.

I take Thee, O Sacred Heart, for the sole object of my love, the protection of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my frailty and inconstancy, the reparation for all the defects of my life, and my secure refuge at the hour of my death. Be Thou, O Most Merciful Heart, my justification before God Thy Father, and screen me from His anger which I have so justly merited. I fear all from my own weakness and malice, but placing my entire confidence in Thee, O Heart of Love, I hope all from Thine infinite Goodness. Annihilate in me all that can displease or resist Thee. Imprint Thy pure love so deeply in my heart that I may never forget Thee or be separated from Thee.
I beseech Thee, through Thine infinite Goodness, grant that my name be engraved upon Thy Heart, for in this I place all my happiness and all my glory, to live and to die as one of Thy devoted servants. Amen.

At the Jordan, Jesus was revealed as the Beloved Son, anointed by the Spirit.
In our own baptism, that same Spirit was given to us — not only to forgive, but to abide, to fill, and to overflow.

When we allow grace to heal us, delight us, and move through us, our lives become an echo of Christ’s own mission: anointed by the Spirit, quietly going about doing good.

May we live our baptism deeply and carry into the world the fragrance of heaven already begun. ✨
