A New Shepherd for the Flock: Rev. Fr. Fremar P. Silva Installed as Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish

On June 14, 2026, celebrating the 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time, the community of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bongco, Pototan, Iloilo, gathered with joyful hearts and profound faith. The parish marked a historic milestone with the Eucharistic Celebration and Rite of Installation of Rev. Fr. Fremar P. Silva as their newly appointed Parish Priest.

The solemn and beautiful liturgy was presided over by His Grace, MOST REV. MIDYPHIL B. BILLONES, D.D., Archbishop of Jaro, whose presence and words of wisdom deeply inspired everyone in attendance.

The atmosphere was filled with reverence as the parish community witnessed the sacred rituals that formally entrusted the care of the parish to Father Fremar.

Change in parish leadership is not an ending, but a beautiful continuation of Christ's ministry. As Father Fremar steps into this new chapter, he brings with him a heart deeply rooted in God's love and a steadfast commitment to the mission inspired by Jesus.
