A man's pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will obtain honor. For those who make themselves great will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be made great.

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God,

and at the right time-

He will lift you up in honor.

Luke 14:11

Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Therefore, let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Dear warrior, If you've been running hard lately, this is your reminder to rest too.

May you not get stuck in a constant cycle of hurried pace. RELAX, RESET, and take a moment to BREATHE too.

The world can wait.

The world is not in your hands, but in His.

And in all these things, don‘t forget where you can learn the unforced rhythm of grace- from the One who can ultimately provide the true rest that you need.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.“
Matthew 11:28-29

When what we are hoping for is taking too long to materialize, we may become too frustrated. These delays, though painful as it seems, could be His wisdom at work for us and not against us. They are not tantamount to Him forsaking us but instead it is His expression of love too.

It could be His way of protecting us from the things that are not according to His will or for our faith in Him to further increase. “For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:2-4

Do you have that desire in your heart right now that you have been praying for? Waiting truly can test not just our patience but also our trust.

My prayer for today is that may we all remember that we serve a God of perfect timing. He has set the right time for everything and He has made everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Nothing in all creation is hidden in His sight for everything is uncovered and laid before His eyes (Hebrews 4:13), our hearts included.

He knows our wants yet what He gives is what is best and what He knows we truly need. If it is according to His will, it will surely come to pass, through His perfect way in His perfect time, even if it entails waiting for now.

This is His promise: No good thing does He withhold from His children (Psalm 84:11). If He withholds something, it is for what He thinks is good all for His glory.

May we see the beauty of choosing the patient speed of God in all things. For if He keeps us waiting, it is not because He wants us to suffer but for us to be transformed by His love. So that in each day of waiting and of hoping, we will taste and see His goodness and His faithfulness. He is intimately preparing things for His children because He loves us in the most intimate way.

Praise be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ!

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you.
1 Peter 5:10
——

In the bible, the hebrew word ר֖וּחַ (ruakh) which was mentioned numerous times can mean “breath,” “wind,” or “Spirit”. Upon knowing this, I remembered two passages from Ezekiel 37:

Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.

I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.’

Ezekiel’s vision was about the valley of dry bones wherein God has shown His power to restore, a good picture of the promise of future glory in Christ.

When the trials of life press us, may we all look to the One who alone can restore the shattered pieces in us and turn us whole again. The One who breathes His grace, His power and His love by His Spirit. Let us sit in the presence of the Good Shepherd and allow Him to fill and satisfy us, lead us beside still waters, and restore our souls.

For true RESToration comes, only when we REST in Him.

Praise be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ!

"For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”
Isaiah 41:13

And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him (1 John 5:15). For the LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them (Psalm 145:18-19).

God sees the heart of the one who prays, for nothing is hidden from Him. He knows the desires of our hearts, spoken or not. Yet, our heart breaks when those prayers we have been professing do not come to pass forgetting the truth that He knows better. That what He wants is best; for our good and most importantly, for His glory.

And so when we pray, may we reflect His nature and His will which we will know as we read the scriptures and devote our time in deepening our relationship with Him through Jesus Christ- the way, the truth and the life. Let us pray therefore to the Lord to make our minds in harmony with Him, for our hearts to be cleansed and for a right spirit to be renewed within us.

May we find great joy as we humbly submit to His perfect will, trusting and believing that He will answer even the most impossible prayers, as it is according to His sovereign pleasure.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
Hebrews 11:6

Do our words or actions drive people away?

Sometimes, we mean well. We have good intentions in mind, but have we asked ourselves if we unconsciously add to the hurt of others with what we say or do?

No matter how good our intentions are, if it is spoken out of remorse, or of pride, our poor ex*****on outweighs the best interests of our hearts.

My prayer for today is that, in all that we do, may we always choose to build up, rather than tear down. And it will only happen, if it will come from a place of love.

Correct not harshly but gently.

Remind with care and not with anger.

Speak the truth in love.

Do everything with love.

It surely will be difficult for us if we will rely on our own understanding, that is why it is so important to abide in love Himself, Jesus Christ, for we can only love others better if we love Him best.

Shalom.

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
1 Cor. 13:1-3

“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
John 13:35

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
1 John 4:7-9

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
1 John 4:16

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you.
He will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble.
Take hold of His instructions; don’t let them go.
