DAILY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

May 28, 2026

Day 3 and our kids learned about Zacchaeus the tax collector. He was small in size, but his heart was even smaller toward God. Everyone looked down on him because he took more money than he should.

But when Jesus saw him up in the tree, He stopped and called his name. Jesus didn’t see just a tax collector — He saw a man who needed love and forgiveness. That one day with Jesus changed Zacchaeus forever. He chose to give back, make things right, and follow Christ.

Jesus sees past our mistakes. He cares about our hearts, not our reputation. When Jesus comes into our lives, He gives us a new start. We shine for Jesus by letting Him change us from the inside out.

May 27, 2026

Day 2 of DVBS and we learned about Job. He lost his family, his health, and everything he owned. His life felt dark and broken.

But Job still chose to trust God. Even in pain, he said “The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Job shows us that faith shines brightest in the storm.

God sees every hurt. He cares when life doesn’t make sense. When everything feels lost, His light still shines. We shine for Jesus by trusting Him, even when we don’t understand.

“And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

DAILY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Theme: SHINE FOR JESUS | Day of Compassion
May 26, 2026

Day 1 and we learned about the Widow of Nain. When Jesus saw her, He was filled with compassion for her. She had lost her only son, and her heart was broken.

But Jesus saw every tear. He cares about every pain we carry. He stopped the funeral, touched the coffin, and spoke life back into her son. Jesus can turn sorrow into joy, and darkness into light.

When life feels dark, His light still shines. We shine for Jesus by having compassion like He had compassion.

“And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.”
