PADREflection Episode 130โœจ

Waiting for God can be hard when life feels slow or heavy, but we do not need to be afraid or worry. Real faith is not about running around in stress; it is about trusting Him with a quiet mind.

As we wait, let us rest in the heart of God, knowing that His love gives us peace and keeps our faith alive today.

PADREflection Episode 129โœจ

God wants to remind us that He loves each one of us and the real change only comes from God.

Like Saint Monica, who prayed for years for her son Saint Augustine, we are called to stop controlling and start trusting.

PADREflection Episode 128โœจ

God cares about our hearts, not just our outward actions or rules. True holiness means letting God's love heal us, guide us, and slowly transform our daily lives so we can love others better.

PADREflection Episode 127โœจ

True prayer is never meant to isolate us in private devotion; rather, it is a transformative encounter with God that naturally overflows into active love for others.

PADREflection Episode 126โœจ

When we slow down and look with our hearts, we realize that God is already working in the exact people and moments we tend to ignore. By choosing to care for the overlooked, we open our eyes to see God with us every day.

Being perfect was never the requirement to be loved by God. He meets us in our weakness, walks with us in our struggles, and reminds us that His grace is always greater than our imperfections. May we learn to trust Him, even in the parts of our lives that are still being shaped.

FEAST | The Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today we celebrate the feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Instituted by Pope Pius XII in 1954 to venerate Mary as Queen, in conjunction with the feast of her Son, Christ the King. Celebrated just a week after the Solemnity of the Assumption, this feast asserts a powerful spiritual principle: that because Jesus Christ is the King of the Universe, His mother shares uniquely in His royal dignity.

Maryโ€™s story is thus the story of a God who surprises us. And Mary allows herself to be surprised by the angel's announcement, and expresses her amazement. It is the amazement of seeing that God wants to become man, and that He has chosen her to be his mother. A simple girl from Nazareth, who does not live in a palace of power and wealth, and has never done anything extraordinary. Mary has the power of a queen, but she puts it at the service of her children, with deep humility.

The Queenship of Mary serves as a theological anchor and a message of hopeโ€”reminding believers that the values of heaven invert worldly power, championing humility, service, and spiritual closeness as the highest forms of royalty. On todayโ€™s feast, let us have recourse to the intercession of our Mother Mary, Queen of the universe, who with her royal power will obtain for us the graces we need on our path to Heaven.

FEAST | Saint Pius X

Saint Pius X came from a humble origin. Born as Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto in Padua, Italy, he was the second of ten children. In 1850, he entered the seminary in Padua and was ordained a priest in 1858. As a parish priest in the Italian region of Venetia, he was known for his piety, giving away his clothing and food to those in need. He also developed programs that brought adults and children into the Church and instructed them in the catechism. In 1884, he became the Bishop of Mantua, and in 1893, he was appointed a cardinal. He was elected Pope on August 4, 1903. He rose to the highest office in the Church while remaining humble, refusing to grant royal titles to his family and choosing simplicity over papal luxury. He made spiritual practices simpler, more accessible, and open to children, believing that they should not be deprived of spiritual nourishment. Throughout his papacy, he served as a model of integrity by standing firm in his moral principles while continuously striving to make complex rules simpler and better suited to serving the people of the Church.

The life of Saint Pius X is a reminder that true leadership does not chase status or fame, but centers on serving others with genuine humility. Through his actions, we are constantly reminded of how we use our own successโ€”whether we use it to boast and feed our desires or to help those who are in need. His life also highlights how often we overcomplicate what is meant to be simple. He inspires us to tear down the walls we have built that hinder us from forming a deeper connection with our faith and with others. Saint Pius X stands as a firm reminder that no matter how accomplished we become, our primary mission is always to stay grounded, act with integrity, and make life lighter for the people around us. He proved that greatness is measured by what is given away, not by what is accumulated.

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the life and example of Saint Pius X, who faithfully served Your people with humility, integrity, and love. Through his example, may we learn to use our blessings not for indulgence or status, but for the service of others. Grant us the gift of humility amid our successes and give us generous hearts that are willing to give themselves for the good of others. Draw us closer to You by guiding our steps throughout this journey of life. We also ask for the intercession of Saint Pius X, that he may inspire us to stand firm in our faith and remain grounded at all times. May we follow his example, grow in holiness, and faithfully live out our mission of service. We ask all of this through Christ our Lord. Amen

FEAST | Saint Ezekiel Moreno

Saint Ezekiel Moreno lived a life marked by mission, compassion, and deep trust in God. From his years as a missionary in the Philippines to his ministry as a bishop in Colombia, he remained close to those who were suffering, especially the sick and the poor. Even when faced with trials and personal suffering, he continued to serve, believing that every hardship could become an opportunity to place greater trust in God.

His life reminds us that faith is not simply believing in God when everything is going well. Faith is choosing to remain when it would be easier to give up, to serve when it is difficult, and to trust when we cannot yet see where God is leading us. Saint Ezekiel Moreno showed that holiness can be found in ordinary acts of love, in quiet sacrifices, and in the courage to continue despite suffering.

As we celebrate his feast, may his life inspire us to face our own struggles with hope and surrender. May we never allow difficulties to take away our desire to serve, love, and follow Christ. And when the road becomes uncertain, may we remember to place everything in the hands of the God who never abandons us.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,You gave Saint Ezekiel Moreno the grace to remain faithful through suffering, to serve those in need, and to trust in Your divine providence.

Through his intercession, teach us to remain steadfast when life becomes difficult, compassionate when others are hurting, and humble in our service to those around us.

When we are uncertain, strengthen our trust in You. When we are weary, renew our hope. And when we are called to serve, give us the courage to say yes with a generous heart.

May we follow the example of Saint Ezekiel Moreno and live each day with a faith that does not give up, a love that does not grow weary, and a trust that rests completely in You.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
