PADREflection Episode 73✨

“Keep calling out to Jesus with faith.”

When sin gets in your way, be brave enough to admit it, confess it, and ask God for forgiveness. When temptation tries to make you stay quiet or give up, fight back and pray even harder.

In the Gospel, Jesus noticed Bartimaeus, called him over, and healed him. Jesus wants to do the exact same thing for us today. He will heal us, too, if we can be humble enough to admit we are just like Bartimaeus—blinded by our struggles—and copy his strong faith and nonstop prayer.

FEAST | 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘆

Saint Augustine of Canterbury, the first Archbishop of Canterbury, was a pivotal figure in the spread of Christianity in England during the 6th century. His achievements have left an indelible mark on the history of Christianity in This Sceptred Isle. St. Augustine, known as the "Apostle of the English," was a Benedictine monk who answered the call of Pope Gregory the Great to lead a mission to evangelize the Anglo-Saxons. Leaving the comfort of his monastery in Rome, he faced unknown lands, language barriers, and deep-seated pagan traditions with unwavering faith.

St. Augustine’s life teaches us to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the missions God entrusts to us, no matter how daunting they may seem. When faced with the fear of the unknown, he chose obedience and trust over hesitation.

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
Through the intercession of St. Augustine of Canterbury, grant us the courage to step out of our comfort zones and the grace to share Your love with patience and charity. When we face the unknown, strengthen our faith so that we may trust entirely in Your divine guidance. Amen.

St. Augustine of Canterbury, pray for us!

PADREflection Episode 72✨

“Live with humility and serve with love.”

Do you really believe that if you give up everything to follow Jesus, He will give you back a hundred times more than what you lost?

It’s hard to think about what things or habits He is asking us to let go of right now. Living a good, holy life like the saints did takes a lot of sacrifice, but if we trust Jesus and actually live this way, we will find true joy and hope.

This life on earth is short. If we stop gripping onto worldly things, focus on the eternal life waiting for us, and work hard for that gift, every single promise God made to us will come true.

PADREflection Episode 71✨

“Nothing offered out of love is ever wasted.”

Following Jesus completely means being willing to let go of our own comfort, pride, and the stuff we cling to in this world so that He can fill our lives with something much better. The saints showed us that while this kind of faith asks a lot of us, it is entirely worth it because this short life passes away, but His promise of eternal life lasts forever.

If we truly trust that God’s generosity will outgive anything we sacrifice, we have to honestly look at our hearts and ask: What is the one thing I am holding onto right now that Jesus is asking me to let go of so I can follow Him more closely?

PADREflection Episode 70✨

“Love can still remain even in wounded moments.”

Just as our Blessed Mother stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross, she remains steadfastly by our side in our own trials, guiding us to anchor our hearts in Christ’s ultimate sacrifice and His enduring presence in the Holy Eucharist. Within His perfect divine plan, God never leaves us to journey alone.

PADREalTalks | 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴

Christ calls us to become instruments of healing, understanding, and growth. Every word we speak and every action we do can either wound or restore a person. Let us not focus on the sins of others, instead, choose compassion over judgment. True healing begins when we allow God to use us as channels of His mercy, peace, and love for others.

PADREflection Episode 69✨

Jesus invites us to love Him and share His light with the world, even though we are broken and far from perfect. He isn't waiting for us to become flawless before He sends us out; instead, He meets us exactly where we are, pouring out His mercy and asking for our deepest, most selfless love.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to feed those starving for faith, encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ, and become living instruments of God's grace.

The more we open our hearts to this unconditional love, the better we can serve Him. Let’s start today by giving Him our best, trusting that He will take our small, imperfect efforts and lift us higher.

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 | Saint Rita of Cascia

Today, we celebrate the feast of Saint Rita of Cascia, a woman whose life became a witness of patience, forgiveness, and unwavering faith in God. Though she endured an unhappy marriage, the loss of her husband and sons, rejection, and years of physical suffering, Saint Rita remained faithful to Christ and chose love over hatred. Later in her life, she received a wound on her forehead resembling a thorn from Christ’s crown, which she carried with humility and devotion as a sign of sharing in His suffering. Her story reminds us that holiness is not found in a life without struggles, but in trusting God even when life becomes difficult and uncertain.

Saint Rita is known as the patron saint of impossible causes because she showed that nothing is beyond the mercy and power of God. Through her prayers, humility, and complete surrender to the Lord, she became a source of hope for many people carrying heavy burdens in their hearts. Her life teaches us that even wounds can become instruments of grace when offered to God with faith.

As we celebrate the feast of Saint Rita of Cascia, may her life remind us that faith can still grow even in pain and uncertainty. Through every trial she faced, Saint Rita continued to trust God with all her heart. May we also learn to forgive those who hurt us, remain patient during hardships, and never lose hope in the Lord’s plans for us.

Let us pray:
Merciful Father, through the example of Saint Rita of Cascia, teach us to remain faithful even during moments of suffering and disappointment. Strengthen our hearts when life becomes difficult, and help us to respond with love, patience, and understanding. May the prayers of Saint Rita guide us closer to You each day and inspire us to become instruments of peace and compassion to others. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. Rita of Cascia, pray for us!

PADREflection Episode 68✨

Jesus reveals a profound mystery of our faith: the Father loves us with the exact same infinite intensity that He loves His only-begotten Son. This divine love is not earned or delayed; it is first, eternal, and unconditional, reaching out from the very beginning to draw every soul to Himself. By bestowing His own life upon us in Christ, the Father unites us deeply, melting away our divisions and binding us together as one holy family in His embrace.

If you are already loved this deeply, why keep living as if you are not enough?

PADREflection Episode 67 ✨

Am I trying to get through today on my own power, or am I leaning into the divine strength and identity God has given me?

God isn't just asking us to follow rules; He is inviting us into His family to share in His very life. When we stay closely connected to Jesus, we receive His strength, His identity, and the grace to love others selflessly. We are called to act in His name and carry His light into the world, which is only possible when we let Him live through us.

PADREflection Episode 66 ✨

We all have a natural hunger for greatness, but while the world tells us to chase the "cheap glory" of status and popularity, true fulfillment is found in following Christ’s example of selfless love and sacrifice. By trading the fragile approval of others for a life of virtue and service, we transform our desire for recognition into a lasting, spiritual glory that begins now and reaches its peak in heaven. Seek the greatness that comes from giving yourself away, and you’ll find that God’s grace satisfies your heart in a way that human praise never could.

Are you chasing the "cheap glory" of being liked by others, or the true greatness found in loving and sacrificing like Christ?
