September 29, 2024 - The community of Purok Javier was blessed with a day of healing and inspiration, thanks to a medical mission organized ahead of the "Education for Life Evangelistic Seminar." The event, spearheaded by Dolefil Central SDA Church's Health Ministries Department, aimed to improve the residents' physical and spiritual well-being. In total, 98 peopleโ80 adults and 18 childrenโreceived essential healthcare services.
Three compassionate physiciansโDr. Lester Claveria, Dr. Jasper Panturas, and Dr. Steve Barsanalina gave their time and skills to provide free medical consultations. Along with the doctors, medical volunteers and church members performed a variety of health exams, including vital sign monitoring, BMI checks, Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) testing, uric acid assessments, and urinalysis. To ensure that patients recovered well after fasting for their tests, a free breakfast was served, as well as lunches for all attendees. Medicines were also supplied to individuals in need, providing comprehensive treatment and support to the community.
Following the medical mission, District Pastor Ian Dave S. Baรฑas led the "Education for Life Evangelistic Seminar". The seminar, which begins from September 29 to October 5, 2024, meets nightly at 6:30 PM and focuses on spiritual growth, practical life teachings, and faith development.
This holistic project, which combines medicinal and spiritual sustenance, exemplifies the Dolefil Central SDA Church's commitment to enhance the Purok Javier community. By cultivating both body and soul, the organizers hope to create a supportive environment in which physical health and spiritual well-being coexist.
