Parents have a God-given responsibility to teach their children about Jesus, especially in a world where Satan is actively working to destroy young lives.
The Bible warns us in 1 Peter 5:8(KJV), Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
Children are innocent and impressionable, making them prime targets for the enemy's schemes. If parents neglect to teach their children the truth of God's Word, the world and the devil will fill that void with lies, confusion, and sin.
Scripture emphasizes in Proverbs 22:6(KJV), Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Parents must intentionally instill biblical values in their children while they are young.
In these perilous times, we see the fulfillment of prophecy in 2 Timothy 3:1-2(KJV), which says, This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.
The enemy uses every tool social media, entertainment, peer pressure, and false ideologies to capture the hearts and minds of children, steering them away from God.
This is not merely a cultural issue but a spiritual war, as Ephesians 6:12(KJV )reminds us: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Parents must fight for their children’s souls by teaching them the Bible, praying with and for them, and modeling a life of faith.
Jesus’ words in Matthew 19:14(KJV )remain true: Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
God calls parents to protect their children spiritually, equipping them with the whole armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-11(KJV): Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
In these end times, when evil seems to multiply and children are exposed to more ungodly influences than ever before, parents must stand firm in the truth.
The stakes are eternal, and the only way to secure their children’s future is by leading them to Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
By prioritizing their children’s spiritual growth, parents not only prepare them to withstand the attacks of the enemy but also guide them toward the promise of eternal life in Christ.
