Good day church!
Praise God for the success of our DVBS 2026! I would like to take this opportunity to give all glory, honor, and thanksgiving to the Lord for everything He has done throughout this journey.
Truly, His hand was evident in every aspect of this ministry. from the strength He provided, the patience He sustained in us during the week, the wisdom He generously gave in planning and leading, and the provisions He faithfully supplied for every need. God has once again proven that when His people answer His call, He will always equip, sustain, and provide.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our Captains, First Mates, Crew members, volunteers, church council and generous sponsors who selflessly shared their time, effort, talents, and resources for the glory of God. Your dedication, sacrifices, and willingness to serve have made this year’s DVBS not only possible but truly impactful. You have become instruments of God’s love to these children, and your labor in the Lord is never in vain.
Indeed, DVBS is not only fun, it is meaningful, life-changing, and spiritually enriching.
It brought so much joy to witness the smiles, laughter, excitement, and eagerness of the children each day. Seeing them actively participate, learn, worship, and grow in their knowledge of Christ was truly a treasure in itself. But beyond the children, it was also evident that the teachers, assistants, and crew members were blessed as well. This ministry became not only a place of teaching but also a place of renewed passion, fellowship, and spiritual growth for everyone involved.
This year’s theme, “Treasure Hunt: Seeking the Riches of Christ,” beautifully reminded us that the greatest treasures in life are not found in material wealth, earthly possessions, or temporary pleasures, but in Jesus Christ alone.
Throughout our DVBS journey, we discovered four priceless spiritual treasures:
The Treasure of Wisdom, The Treasure of Safety, The Treasure of Love, and The Treasure of Joy.
Through the story of the Three Wise Men, we learned that the wisest decision anyone can ever make is to seek Jesus above all else. Just as the wise men diligently searched for the Savior, we too are called to pursue Christ wholeheartedly, for true wisdom begins when we recognize and follow Him.
Through Jesus’ parable of the Rich Fool, we discovered that the safest place to invest and store our treasures is not in earthly riches that fade away, but in living for Christ and using what we have for His Kingdom. Real security is found not in possessions, but in a life surrendered to Jesus.
Through the story of Mary anointing Jesus with expensive perfume, we were reminded that Jesus alone is worthy of our greatest love, devotion, and sacrifice. Mary gave her best because she understood the incomparable worth of Christ. In the same way, we are called to love Jesus with all our hearts and offer Him our very best.
And through Jesus’ visit to Zacchaeus’ home, we learned that the greatest joy and true happiness in life come from encountering Jesus personally. Zacchaeus found that no amount of wealth could compare to the joy of salvation and fellowship with Christ.
What a beautiful reminder for all of us children and adults alike that Jesus is our greatest treasure.
As we conclude DVBS 2026, may we continue to carry these treasures in our hearts. May the lessons we learned not end here, but may they continue to guide us in our daily walk with God.
Let us continue seeking Christ, trusting Him, loving Him, and finding our joy in Him.
Once again, thank you to everyone who became part of this incredible ministry. Your service has planted seeds of faith in the hearts of many children, and we trust that God will continue to make those seeds grow.
To God be all the glory, honor, and praise!
Thank you, and may the riches of Christ continue to shine in all our lives.
