TRUTHS ABOUT PURGATORY...
1. It is taught in the Bible and by the Early Church Fathers.
2. It is a state (rather than a place).
3. Unlike heaven and hell which are both eternal, Purgatory is temporary that exists during Immediate Judgement but will cease to exist during the General Judgement.
4. All souls that undergo Purgatory will surely go to heaven. No one will go to hell after purgation or cleansing of souls from venial sins and temporal punishments.
5. It is not a second chance of Salvation, rather it is part of the complete salvation and love plan designed by God.
6. At the moment of death there are souls QUITE FIT to heaven (and they go at once to heaven), There are UNFIT to heaven like the unrepented sinners and evil doers (they go directly to hell), there are NOT QUITE FIT to heaven due to stain of light sins and punishments due to forgiven sins in the past, then they have to be PERFECTLY CLEANSED or PURGED before seeing GOD face-to-face in heaven (the gift of BEATIFIC VISION).
