“SIR, NAGPAKAMATAY PO ANG BESTFRIEND KO.”
My wife and I regularly go to a senior high school here in Lipa City to teach Values Education based on the Word of God.
Isang araw, pagkatapos ng klase, may lumapit sa akin na isang student.
“Sir, malungkot po ako ngayon, nagpakamatay po ang bestfriend ko.”
Nabigla ako.
I listened as he shared how his friend carried so much weight—problems sa pamilya, personal struggles—hanggang sa hindi na niya kinaya.
After he shared, I prayed for him. I comforted him. And we stayed connected online, just in case he needs someone to talk to—emotionally and spiritually.
Last month naman, pagkabalik namin from the US, may nabalitaan ako dito mismo sa neighborhood namin.
Isang kabataang lalaki… nagbigti dahil sa breakup.
Grabe. Sobrang sakit marinig.
This is the reality of this generation.
They are wounded.
They are broken.
They are lost.
Marami sa kanila ang may dalang bigat—mula sa pamilya, eskwelahan, at relationships.
At ang mas mahirap… wala silang mapag-share-an.
And we cannot just judge them.
Pasama ba nang pasama ang henerasyong ito?
Yes—pero hindi dahil gusto nila.
Kundi dahil patindi nang patindi ang dala nilang sakit sa loob.
Many of them think mas madali nang tapusin ang buhay kaysa harapin ang problema.
That’s why this is personal for me.
This is why we do what we do.
Ito ang dahilan kung bakit kailangan nating lumabas sa comfort zone natin.
Because we carry the solution.
And we all know—His name is Jesus.
Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted. (Luke 4:18)
He came to save, to restore, and to set people free.
Dear Christian,
Nasa’yo ang solusyon.
Kilala mo ang solusyon.
Huwag mong isipin na hopeless na ang generation na ito.
Yes, they are broken—but because of that, mas bukas din sila.
Mas receptive sila sa Gospel.
Kaya kumbinsido ako—
May plano ang Diyos sa Gen Z.
Hindi sila lost cause.
They are a generation waiting for an encounter.
At kapag na-encounter nila ang Healer…
They will rise.
They will be bold.
They will be on fire.
They will become a powerful army for God’s glory.
This generation is not hopeless.
They are just hurting.
At habang may mga kabataang tahimik na umiiyak hindi tayo pwedeng manatiling tahimik.
At kung ikaw ‘yung taong nasa ganitong sitwasyon ngayon—pagod ka na, mabigat na, at parang gusto mo na lang sumuko—please hear this:
Hindi ka nag-iisa.
Hindi ka pabigat.
At hindi solusyon ang pagkawala mo.
Mahal ka ng Diyos. May plano Siya sa buhay mo.
Christian, if you know Jesus, you carry the hope that this generation is looking for.
Huwag mong sarilinin ang liwanag—get out there, mag-reach out, at magbahagi ng pag-asa.
Someone’s life may depend on your obedience.
