Hindi sapat ang mga salita upang maipahayag ang aming pasasalamat sa inyong pagmamahal, paggabay, at kabutihang ipinadama sa Ministry of the Altar Servers. Sa bawat payo, halimbawa, at panalanging inyong ibinahagi, naging mas matatag ang aming pananampalataya at mas makabuluhan ang aming paglilingkod sa dambana.

Habang kayo po ay tutungo sa panibagong misyon sa Seminary, dala namin ang lungkot ng pansamantalang pamamaalam, ngunit higit naming baon ang pasasalamat at panalangin. Nawa’y patuloy kayong pagpalain ng Panginoon sa landas na inyong tatahakin.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost, marking the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Fifty days after the Resurrection, the promised Advocate came down in tongues of fire, transforming a fearful community into courageous witnesses of the Gospel. Pentecost marks the birth of the Church, sending us forth to renew the face of the earth.

As the Holy Spirit empowers the Church, we also celebrate the birth of our collective mission to spread the Good News to all nations. The same fire that ignited the hearts of the early disciples continues to burn within us today, uniting us across diverse cultures and languages into one Body of Christ.

As Altar Servers, we are called to be fueled by this same divine fire. May we always serve the altar with fervor, dedication, and love, allowing the gifts of the Holy Spirit to guide our actions and inspire our community. Let us be living instruments of God's grace, bringing His light and warmth to everyone we meet.

✝️𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡 𝗚𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 ✨🕊️

The Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit are spiritual gifts given by God to strengthen believers in living a holy and faithful life.

These gifts are rooted in Isaiah 11:2–3 and are fully poured out through the Holy Spirit.

✨ 1. 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗗𝗢𝗠
The gift that helps us see life from God’s perspective and value heavenly things above earthly things.

✨ 2. 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚
The ability to grasp the deeper meaning of God’s truth and teachings.

✨ 3. 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗟 (𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗝𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧)
The gift that helps us choose what is right and avoid what leads us away from God.

✨ 4. 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘 (𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗘)
Strength to remain faithful to God even during fear, suffering, temptation, or persecution.

✨ 5. 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪𝗟𝗘𝗗𝗚𝗘
The gift that helps us recognize God’s purpose and presence in all things.

✨ 6. 𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗧𝗬
A deep love and reverence for God that leads us to worship Him faithfully and love others sincerely.

✨ 7. 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗗
Not terror, but awe and respect for God that keeps us from sin and draws us closer to Him.

The Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit are not talents for pride, but graces for holiness.

They help believers:

The Catholic Church stands upon three inseparable foundations that preserve the fullness of Christian truth:

📖 1. 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘
The written Word of God contained in the Holy Bible.

Scripture teaches, guides, corrects, and reveals God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.

“All Scripture is inspired by God.” — 2 Timothy 3:16

📜 2. 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
The teachings of Christ and the Apostles passed down through the Church from generation to generation.

Before the New Testament was written, the faith was already being preached, lived, and preserved through Apostolic Tradition.

“Stand firm and hold to the traditions you were taught.” — 2 Thessalonians 2:15

⛪ 3. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗨𝗠
The teaching authority of the Church entrusted to the Pope and the bishops in communion with him.

The Magisterium safeguards the true interpretation of Scripture and Tradition under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

“He who hears you hears Me.” — Luke 10:16

✝️ 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛, 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛
Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the Magisterium do not contradict one another.

Together, they form one sacred deposit of faith given by Christ to His Church.

Without Scripture, we lose God’s written Word.
Without Tradition, we lose Apostolic continuity.
Without the Magisterium, confusion and division arise.

Today, we celebrate the glorious Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. Forty days after His Resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven, body and soul, taking His place at the right hand of the Father. His departure does not mean He has abandoned us; rather, He opens the path for the Holy Spirit to guide us and prepares a place for us in His eternal kingdom.

Simultaneously, we observe World Communications Sunday. As Christ gave His disciples the great commission to "go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature," we are reminded of our call to use modern tools of communication to spread truth, hope, and the love of God.

As Altar Servers, we lift our hearts in worship and commit ourselves to being living signs of His presence in our community. Let us joyfully proclaim His victory and live as witnesses of His resurrection in our daily lives.

🔥 𝗔 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗖 ✝️

In the Holy Mass, the chalice holds profound spiritual significance.

The chalice is the sacred vessel that contains the wine which, Catholics believe, becomes the Precious Blood of
Jesus Christ
during the Eucharist.

✝️ WHY THE CHALICE IS SACRED

The chalice is not treated as an ordinary cup.

It is consecrated specifically for divine worship because of its connection to:

✝️ The Last Supper
✝️ Christ’s sacrifice
✝️ The New Covenant

Its sacred use reflects reverence for the Eucharist.

✝️ A BEAUTIFUL DETAIL

Many traditional chalices are made of precious metals or lined with gold on the inside.

This is meant to express:

✝️ Honor
✝️ Reverence
✝️ The priceless value of the Eucharist

The beauty of the vessel reflects the sacred mystery it contains.

✝️ THE CHALICE IN SCRIPTURE

At the Last Supper, Jesus took the cup and said:

✝️ “This is My Blood of the covenant…”

The chalice therefore became a lasting sign of Christ’s sacrificial love.

✝️ A SYMBOL OF SACRIFICE

The chalice also reminds Christians of:

✝️ Christ’s Passion
✝️ Suffering united to God
✝️ The call to discipleship

In Scripture, the “cup” can symbolize both blessing and sacrifice.

✝️ THE DEEPER TRUTH

Every detail in the Mass points toward something greater.

✝️ The sacredness of the chalice reflects the sacredness of Christ’s gift of Himself.

The Eucharist reminds believers that God gives not merely blessings…

🔥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗦 ✝️
The Invocation of the Holy Spirit

During the Holy Mass, there is a sacred moment called the Epiclesis.

The word “Epiclesis” means:

✝️ “Invocation” or “calling down upon.”

In this moment, the priest calls upon the
Holy Spirit

to act in a powerful and sacred way.

✝️ WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE EPICLESIS?

The priest extends his hands over the bread and wine and prays that the Holy Spirit may:

✝️ Sanctify the gifts
✝️ Transform them into the Body and Blood of
Jesus Christ

This prepares for the sacred mystery of the Eucharist.

✝️ THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE EUCHARIST

The Eucharist is not ordinary bread and wine.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the words of Christ:

✝️ The gifts are changed sacramentally in
Transubstantiation

The Holy Spirit continues the saving work of God within the liturgy.

✝️ A SECOND INVOCATION

In many Eucharistic Prayers, the priest also invokes the Holy Spirit upon the faithful:

✝️ That believers may become one body in Christ
✝️ United in faith, love, and holiness

The Spirit transforms not only the gifts…

✝️ But also the hearts of God’s people.

✝️ THE DEEPER TRUTH

The Epiclesis reminds us that the Mass is the work of God.

It is the Holy Spirit who sanctifies, transforms, and gives life.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 ✝️

In the Catholic Church, sacred oils are used in the sacraments and important rites of blessing, healing, consecration, and spiritual strengthening.

These oils are blessed by the bishop during the Chrism Mass, usually celebrated during Holy Week.

Each holy oil has a special purpose in the life of the Church.

✝️ 1. OIL OF THE SICK
The Oil of the Sick is used in the .

It is used for:
• the seriously ill
• the elderly
• those preparing for surgery
• those in danger due to sickness or weakness

Through this sacrament, God grants:
• spiritual strength
• peace
• healing according to His will
• and comfort in suffering

✝️ 2. OIL OF CATECHUMENS
The Oil of Catechumens is used before Baptism.

It is used for:
• infants preparing for Baptism
• catechumens preparing to enter the Church

This oil symbolizes:
• spiritual protection
• strength against evil
• preparation for Christian life

It reminds the faithful that the Christian journey is a spiritual battle fought with God’s grace.

✝️ 3. SACRED CHRISM
Sacred Chrism is the most solemn of the holy oils.

It is a mixture of olive oil and balsam, consecrated by the bishop.

Sacred Chrism is used in:

• the gift of the Holy Spirit
• and being set apart for God

The sweet fragrance of chrism reminds us of the “aroma of Christ” in the world.

✝️ SIGNS OF GOD’S GRACE
These holy oils are not ordinary oils.

They are sacred signs through which God strengthens, heals, consecrates, and sanctifies His people through the sacraments.
