The Wondrous Things God Has Done
A Testimony of Faith and Providence
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” — Jeremiah 33:3
In February 2025, our congregation received a sudden order to vacate our place of worship. We were at a loss—uncertain of where to go or how we would store our instruments and church equipment. Yet, even in the face of the unknown, we knew that God is good.
The Lord opened a way for us. We found a hall to rent for Sunday services 13 kilometers away, along with a house for our family and church belongings. It was a season of true struggle; stress and anxiety weighed heavily on us, but we overcame through God’s grace. He provided for us miraculously, moving people to lend a hand and provide the funds needed for such a massive transition.
Even in a rented space, we continued to worship the Lord with joy because His hand was upon us. We remained fervent in prayer, asking for a lot and a building of our own. God answered when someone offered us a lot at a significantly lower price; however, we still lacked the funds for the down payment.
We turned to prayer and fasting. During a sectional meeting, we sat quietly, observing and holding the need for the down payment in our hearts. God moved! Our Sectional Presbyter, Pastor Cornelio Mangoba, asked about our situation. The Holy Spirit touched his heart, as well as the hearts of the leaders especially to LM Department who really take a big part of this, and our EVD Presbyter, Pastor Ernie Gequilan. Through them, God provided the full down payment!
When we worried about the monthly installments of 10,500 PHP, God touched the hearts of the Section 1 pastors to assist us. We are so grateful to our leaders and fellow pastors. While we are responsible for the remaining months, we have already seen God’s miraculous providence at work. We are now standing in faith for the final three months of payment, believing for a miracle.
As soon as the down payment was settled, we excitedly began clearing the lot. Glory to God! We are constantly amazed by His milagro kanunay (constant miracles).
In June, we began construction on the church building with only 3,500 pesos in hand. Once again, God moved hearts to support our pioneering work. Materials such as cement and kabilya (reinforcement bars) were donated. We also thank God for the two hardware stores that allowed us to acquire materials on credit (utang), trusting us for the items needed to continue. We thank you all from the depths of our hearts. Our gratitude also goes to Pastor Marlon and the Men’s Department of Tolingon Church for their labor in roofing the building.
Then, this past November, Typhoon Tino struck. Our rented place of worship was destroyed. However, when we checked our new construction, we witnessed a miracle: the roof was perfectly intact, with only minor cracks on the side. While neighboring houses had lost their roofs, God protected His sanctuary because He knew we had nowhere else to go.
A Permanent Home at Last
We joined forces to transform the unfinished building into a house of prayer. It is not yet complete, but with a roof over our heads and trapal to close the walls, we are finally home. The men built a temporary comfort room, and everyone worked together to beautify the space.
On the third Sunday of November 2025, we celebrated our first service in our new building! This is our fifth relocation, and we are overjoyed to finally have a place of worship where we can no longer be moved or demolished.THANK YOU JESUS🙌❤️
The Journey Forward
The miracles continue. Initially, we praised the Lord by the light of our flashlights. Now, God has provided a borrowed generator so we can conduct our services with a sound system and lights. We are now standing in faith for 35,000 PHP to fund our building permit so we can process our permanent electricity. We claim the promises of Matthew 21:22 and John 14:14. God is full of surprises! He is a miracle-working God, and we are the living evidence of His favor and goodness.
Glory to God!
To every heart that gave and every soul that prayed for us—we are overwhelmed with gratitude. Your generosity has been a direct answer to our prayers. May the Lord, who sees your kindness, bless you and your families more abundantly than you could ever imagine. We thank God for you every day!
