Today, we celebrate the memorial of St. Rose of Lima, the first canonized saint of the Americas and a beloved patroness of the Philippines. Born in Peru, she dedicated her life to intense prayer, personal sacrifice, and selfless service to the sick and impoverished within her community. Her burning love for Christ and heroic commitment to holiness remain a radiant example of grace and purity for the entire Church.

PRAYER
St. Rose of Lima, intercede for us that our hearts may be purified and filled with a deep love for God above all earthly things. Guide us to care for the poor and suffering around us with the same gentle charity and humility that defined your holy life. Amen.

For 250 years, generations of faithful have gathered under the loving mantle of INA, Our Lady of Salvation. This year, we celebrate this beautiful legacy of faith with hearts full of gratitude and hope.

Join us at the Shrine of Our Lady of Salvation in Joroan this 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠, on the Feast of the Queenship of Mary, as we commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Devotion to Our Lady of Salvation and the 50th Anniversary of her Coronation as Patroness of the Diocese of Legazpi. The celebration will be highlighted by a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘀é 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝘃í𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮, 𝗝𝗿., 𝗗.𝗗., 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮.

May this historic celebration remind us of the enduring faith of generations who have entrusted themselves to the maternal intercession of our INA. May Our Lady of Salvation continue to lead us closer to her Son and inspire us to remain faithful in hope and love.

The ACSP - Association of Catholic Shrines and Pilgrimages of the Philippines extends its warmest greetings to Diocesan Shrine & Parish of Our Lady of Salvation - Joroan Church as they celebrate their 50th anniversary of elevation as a shrine today, 21st of August 2026.

𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘: Dear Lady of Salvation, powerful advocate of man, intercede for us, guide us to your Son, and keep us under your mantle of protection.

We honor you, O Blessed Mother, our refuge and our hope. We implore Thee, to obtain for us the grace of the loving God, to give us patience in adversities. Teach us the way to follow the Cross where we can obtain our Salvation. We will live to God what is best for us. We will accept all sufferings that He sends us, so that these sufferings will increase our merits in Heaven.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Whether expressed in different rites, the Church’s worship reflects a harmony that transcends time and culture, reminding us that liturgy is not something we invent, but something we receive, cherish, and enter into with reverence.

Today, we commemorate the memorial of St. Clare of Montefalco, an Augustinian nun and mystic renowned for her intense devotion to the Passion of Christ. Blessed with extraordinary visions, she famously declared that she bore the Cross of Jesus within her heart—a statement miraculously confirmed after her death when the symbols of the Passion were found imprinted upon her heart muscle. Her life of austere penance, deep prayer, and relentless charity remains a radiant testament to a soul completely united with the crucified Lord.

PRAYER
St. Clare of Montefalco, pray that the sacred Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ may be deeply engraved upon our hearts each day. Intercede for us, that we may embrace our own crosses with patience and love, ever faithful to God's divine will. Amen.

Today, we celebrate the memorial of St. Roch (San Roque), a French noble who gave up his wealth to live as a humble pilgrim and patron saint against plagues and contagious diseases. Traveling through Italy during a devastating plague, he brought miraculous healing to countless victims through prayer, laying on of hands, and the Sign of the Cross. When he himself contracted the disease, God miraculously cared for him in the forest through a faithful dog that brought him daily bread, making him a beloved symbol of divine providence and compassionate care.

A Prayer for Healing and Protection
St. Roch, powerful defender against plagues and epidemics, pray for us and shield our communities from all dangerous diseases and afflictions. Intercede for the sick and suffering, that they may experience Christ's healing power and the comforting strength of God's love. Amen.

Today, we celebrate the solemn Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring the dogma that our Heavenly Mother was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory at the end of her earthly life. Preserved free from all stain of original sin as the immaculate Mother of God, Mary became the first among redeemed humanity to fully share in the Resurrection of her Son. Her glorious Assumption offers us a luminous beacon of hope, reminding all faithful souls of the eternal heavenly glory that awaits us in Christ.

PRAYER
O Queen Assumed into Heaven, look upon us with your merciful eyes and guide our earthly journey toward the eternal joy of your Son’s Kingdom. Clothe our souls in purity and humility, that we may one day share in the glorious resurrection promised to those who love the Lord. Amen.

Today, we celebrate the feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe, a Polish Conventual Franciscan friar, martyr of charity, and passionate champion of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Deeply devoted to our Heavenly Mother, he founded the Militia Immaculatae to spread Marian devotion through modern media, publishing, and evangelization. During World War II at the Auschwitz concentration camp, he heroically offered his own life in exchange for a fellow prisoner with a family, proving that no darkness can extinguish the light of self-sacrificing love.

PRAYER
St. Maximilian Kolbe, pray that our hearts may be filled with an unshakeable love for the Immaculata and a willingness to lay down our lives in selfless service for others. Intercede for us in times of trial, that we may remain steadfast in faith and courageously witness to Christ's infinite mercy. Amen.

We invite all parishioners and devotees to join us today, August 12, 2026, for our monthly devotion to our beloved Ina, Nuestra Señora Del Pilar de Sorsogon.

Please join us in prayer as we honor our Blessed Mother. The schedule for the Holy Mass will be at 5:00 PM - Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of the Pillar.

Following the 5:00 PM Holy Mass, we will hold a solemn procession in honor of Our Lady. We encourage everyone to participate in this act of faith and community devotion.
