All glory to God! 🙌 Congratulations to our Militants! 🎉

Our third formation, BOW, has officially come to a close, and it was truly a day filled with grace, learning, and joy. From eSCAPade to PCM and now BOW, you have embodied the heart of a true SCAn—faithful, passionate, and ever ready to serve.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our kuyas, ates, facilitators, animator, and participants who made this formation meaningful and alive. Above all, we thank the Lord for His unfailing guidance, constant presence, and abundant grace throughout this journey.

As we move forward, we eagerly embrace our final formation—SCALE. With God at the center, we continue to walk this mission together, stronger and more united.

🕯 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧 : 𝓟𝓮𝓪𝓬𝓮 💜

John the Baptist preached, “𝘋𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥.” (Matthew 3:2). His message echoes through generations, reminding us that 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗱. Repentance is more than feeling sorry—it is choosing to walk a new path, allowing God to reshape our thoughts, actions, and desires according to His will.

𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐄 is not simply the absence of problems or noise; 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝'𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬. Even in moments of uncertainty and waiting, Christ offers a peace the world cannot give—calm in the storm, clarity in confusion, and strength in weakness.

Today, as we light the second candle of Advent, let this flame remind us to prepare room in our hearts for the Prince of Peace. Let us embrace humility, offer forgiveness, seek reconciliation, and grow in faith. In doing so, we not only welcome Christ into our lives but also become instruments of His peace to others.

𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐌𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒
November 1, 2025

All Saints’ Day celebrates the feast or solemnity of all the saints in Heaven, both saints recognized by the Church as holy men and women and those who remain unknown. The earliest certain observance of a feast in honor of all the saints is an early fourth-century commemoration of “all the martyrs.” In the early seventh century, after successive waves of invaders plundered the catacombs, Pope Boniface IV gathered up some 28 wagon-loads of bones and reinterred them beneath the Pantheon, a Roman temple dedicated to all the gods. The pope rededicated the shrine as a Christian church. According to Venerable Bede, the pope intended “that the memory of all the saints might in the future be honored in the place which had formerly been dedicated to the worship not of gods but of demons” (On the Calculation of Time).

But the rededication of the Pantheon, like the earlier commemoration of all the martyrs, occurred in May. Many Eastern Churches still honor all the saints in the spring, either during the Easter season or immediately after Pentecost.

How the Western Church came to celebrate this feast, now recognized as a solemnity, in November is a puzzle to historians. The Anglo-Saxon theologian Alcuin observed the feast on November 1 in 800, as did his friend Arno, Bishop of Salzburg. Rome finally adopted that date in the ninth century.

Faith as Solid as a Pillar — Viva Virgen Del Pilar✨

Today, we honor and celebrate our beloved patroness — Virgen del Pilar, whose unwavering faith and motherly love continue to guide and protect us all. 💙

According to tradition, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the Apostle St. James the Greater in Zaragoza, Spain, standing on a pillar as a sign of strength, hope, and encouragement in spreading God’s word. Since then, she has been known as Our Lady of the Pillar — a symbol of steadfast faith and divine support. 🌿

As one community of Virgen del Pilar Colleges, we joyfully come together on thanksgiving to celebrate her feast this October 11–12, 2025. May her example remind us to stay firm in faith, to spread kindness, and to face every challenge with courage and devotion. 🙏

Under her loving mantle, may we continue to grow as learners, leaders, and faithful servants of God.
