Last Sunday, September 6, we gathered as one UCC Community of Churches and received a powerful message from our UCC Senior Pastor, Dr. Alvin Venzon, entitled “God’s Uncommon Favor: A Gift to Receive, An Assignment to Carry,” based on Luke 1:26–38. We were reminded that God’s uncommon favor is not simply about receiving something that others may not receive—it is also about God choosing ordinary people for extraordinary purposes. Uncommon favor is both a gift to receive and an assignment to carry. Minsan ang iniisip natin na favor means an easier life, but the story of Mary reminds us that God’s favor can also come with a greater responsibility and calling. Favor does not always mean an easy life, but it means that God is with us and faithfully working through us for His purpose.

Join us this September 6 (Sunday) at 3:00 PM at the UCC Lobby for a special time of learning, equipping, and growing in leadership and ministry with our UCC Senior Pastor, Dr. Alvin Venzon. Last Sunday, August 30, we gathered for our UCC Sunday Cell Celebration and were blessed by the encouraging message “Hindi Hihinto Hangga’t Lumalago.” We were reminded that our journey with God is a continuous journey of growth. Hindi tayo dapat manatili sa kung nasaan tayo ngayon, kundi patuloy tayong lumago sa faith, character, knowledge, and service to God. May every season bring us closer to Him and make us more mature and fruitful in our walk with Christ. Hindi tayo hihinto—patuloy tayong lalago!
