REViBe: Youth Catechesis Program – Vicariate of St. Andrew
(Passi City, Salngan, Sto. Tomas, Dueñas, San Enrique)
Venue: Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help,
Sto. Tomas, Passi City
The REViBe (Renew–Encounter–Vibrant–Believe) Youth Catechesis Program was meaningfully launched in the Vicariate of St. Andrew, warmly hosted by the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Sto. Tomas, Passi City. This milestone gathering marked the beginning of the four-part Youth Catechesis Formation Journey centered on the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, Confession, and Confirmation — forming young people not only in knowledge of the faith but in a lived encounter with Christ.
REViBe highlights the journey of young people from renewal of identity, to personal encounter with Jesus, to living a vibrant faith, and finally to becoming believers who witness to Christ in daily life. More than a program, REViBe is a movement of formation that helps the youth rediscover who they are as baptized Christians and empowers them to live their faith with joy, courage, and missionary spirit in today’s world.
The opening session focused on the Sacrament of Baptism, inviting the youth to rediscover their identity as beloved children of God and members of the Church. The session emphasized Baptism as the foundation of Christian life — the beginning of a lifelong journey of discipleship, service, and mission. Through catechesis, prayer, and reflection, the youth were guided to see Baptism not only as a past event, but as a living identity and daily calling.
Young participants from the parishes of Passi City, Salngan, Sto. Tomas, Dueñas, and San Enrique gathered as one faith community. United in prayer and formation, they deepened their awareness of their vocation as priestly, prophetic, and kingly disciples of Christ — called to proclaim the Gospel, serve with generosity, and actively participate in parish and community life.
This first REViBe encounter laid a strong spiritual and catechetical foundation for the succeeding formation sessions on the Eucharist, Confession, and Confirmation. Through this continuing journey, REViBe aims to form young missionary disciples who are deeply rooted in faith, nourished by the Sacraments, and ready to live out their baptismal mission in the Church and in society.
May REViBe continue to renew hearts, ignite faith, and form vibrant young witnesses of Christ — walking together as one Church in communion, participation, and mission.
