Simba na po tayo!

Ika-18 Linggo sa Karaniwang Panahon | Linggo, Agosto 2, 2026

Sa Unang Pagbasa, inaanyayahan tayo ni propeta Isaias na lumapit sa Diyos hindi tayo bibilhin ng salapi ang tunay na kabusugan, kundi ang pakikinig at pagtitiwala sa Kanyang salita. Ipinagpapatuloy naman ni San Pablo sa Ikalawang Pagbasa ang parehong mensahe ng pagtitiwala: wala talagang anumang paghihirap o kapangyarihan sa mundong ito ang makakapaghiwalay sa atin sa pag-ibig ng Diyos na ipinakita sa pamamagitan ni Kristo.

At sa Ebanghelyo, makikita natin mismo kung paano nabubuhay ang unang pagbasa pinakain ni Hesus ang libu-libong tao sa pamamagitan lang ng limang tinapay at dalawang isda. Hindi ito kwento tungkol sa himala lang; ito ay kwento tungkol sa kung paano ang munting handog, kapag inialay natin ito sa Diyos, ay ginagawa Niyang sapat β€” hindi lang para sa atin, kundi para rin sa marami.

Marami sa atin ang minsan nakadarama na kulang tayo kulang sa oras, kulang sa talento, kulang sa lakas na ibigay pa. Pero ang Ebanghelyo ngayon ay paalala na hindi hinihingi sa atin ng Diyos ang perpekto o sagana hinihingi lang Niya ang bukas na puso. Ang natitira, Siya na ang bahala.

Ngayon din po ay ipinagdiriwang ang paggunita kay San Juan Maria Vianney (St. John Baptist Marie Vianney), ang santong patron ng mga pari sa parokya. Kilala siya sa kanyang matiyagang paglilingkod sa Sakramento ng Kumpisal at sa kanyang buhay-panalangin, dahil dito, patuloy nating idalangin ang ating mga pari na sila rin sana, gaya ng limang tinapay at dalawang isda, ay maging sapat na handog para sa marami sa pamamagitan ng biyaya ng Diyos.

Salmong Tugunan:

Pinakakain mong tunay kaming lahat, O Maykapal.

Panginoon, turuan Mo akong magtiwala sa Iyong pag-ibig at pagkalinga. Nawa'y maging bukas-palad akong magbahagi ng aking panahon, talento, at biyaya para sa ikabubuti ng kapwa. Pagpalain Mo rin po ang aming mga pari, tulad ni San Juan Maria Vianney. Amen.

Ngayong araw, ginugunita natin si San Ignacio de Loyola, ang nagtatag ng Kapisanan ni Hesus (Society of Jesus o mga Heswita). Bago niya lubusang tinugon ang tawag ng Diyos, siya ay isang kawal. Ngunit sa pamamagitan ng biyaya ng Diyos, nagbago ang direksiyon ng kanyang buhay at buong pusong inialay ang sarili sa panalangin, pagninilay, at tapat na pagpapahayag ng Mabuting Balita.

Nawa’y maging inspirasyon sa atin ang kanyang halimbawa upang patuloy nating hanapin ang kalooban ng Diyos sa bawat aspeto ng ating buhay, maglingkod nang may kababaang-loob, at mamuhay araw-araw β€œpara sa higit na ikaluluwalhati ng Diyos,” kahit sa gitna ng mga hamon.

Hulyo 29, 2026 | Dakilang Kapistahan nina Santa Marta, Santa Maria at San Lazaro 🀍

Ngayong araw ay ginugunita natin ang Dakilang Kapistahan nina Santa Marta, Santa Maria, at San Lazaro ang magkakapatid na naging matatalik na kaibigan ng ating Panginoong Hesukristo at naging huwaran ng pananampalataya, paglilingkod, at pagtitiwala sa Diyos.

Nawa'y tularan natin si Santa Marta sa kanyang masigasig na paglilingkod, si Santa Maria sa kanyang pakikinig at pagmamahal sa Salita ng Diyos, at si San Lazaro bilang saksi sa kapangyarihan ng Panginoon na nagbibigay ng bagong buhay at pag-asa.
