Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
— Psalm 82:3–4

Hustisya – maraming tao ang humihingi ng hustisya – justice from criminality, poverty, injustice, etc. Lack of justice or the absence of it, can extinguish hope in the human heart.

God’s justice is never unconcerned to human suffering. He calls His people not only to worship Him with their lips, but also to reflect His heart by protecting the vulnerable and standing for what is right – according to His Word, not according to human standards (“…deliver them from the hand of the wicked”).

Every day, God places opportunities before us to be His hands and feet. A kind word to the forgotten, practical help for someone in need, or speaking up for those treated unfairly can become a powerful testimony of God’s love.

Heavenly Father, give me a heart that reflects Your compassion for the weak, the needy, and the oppressed. Help me to defend those who cannot defend themselves according to your Word, and to show the love of Christ through both my words and actions. May my life honor You by pursuing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen

She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.”
— John 8:11

A passage many of us know well — where an angry crowd is ready to stone a woman caught in the sin of adultery.

Madalas ang nakikita ng iba dito ay ang ‘compassion’ ni Jesus Christ sa isang babaeng gustong patayin ng mga tao.

But the more compelling truth here is that… walang sinuman ang maliligtas sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa Kautusan, pero wala ring maliligtas sa pamamagitan ng biyaya or ‘grace,’ if a person has not first been accused by the law.

There must be conviction before there can be conversion (Romans 3:19-20).

Jesus is both the ‘truth’ and ‘grace’ yet He is also ‘just.’ He did not condemn the woman, yet He did not excuse her sin as well.

Normal sa isang mananampalataya ang humingi ng patawad sa Diyos dahil sa kanyang mga kasalanan, pero hindi normal sa isang mananampalataya ang magpatuloy sa pagkakasala pagkatapos nyang mapatawad.

Christ’s mercy frees us from the guilt of sin, and His truth calls us to a new life of holiness. We must walk in obedience, allowing His Spirit to change our heart day by day.

Bear in mind, Christ said to the woman – “From now on sin no more.”

God’s grace is not merely that we are forgiven, but that we are becoming more like Christ.

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your amazing grace that forgives my sins. Help me not to take Your mercy for granted or abuse it, but to turn away from sin and follow You wholeheartedly. Transform my heart, so that my life reflects Your holiness and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.

This is not just about telling lies, it’s about personal integrity. When our words can’t be trusted, ano na ang mangyayari sa atin? Wala nang magtitiwala.

God abhors lying because, being truthful Himself, He desires that same trustworthy character to be preserved in His people.

Since God is truth (John 14:6), every word we speak should reflect His integrity.

While lies, even “white lies,” na ginagamit ng tao para makalusot sa isang sitwasyon, they eat away trust and dishonor God.

A trustworthy life, however, delights the Lord because it displays a heart transformed by His truth.

Whether in private conversations, business dealings, or online interactions, let our words be marked by truth and grace. Hindi madaling panatiliing mabuti ang ating pagkatao, but it is always the one that honors God and points others to Christ.

Father, guard my lips from falsehood and fill my heart with Your truth. Help me to speak honestly, live with integrity, and be trustworthy in all I do. May my words reflect the character of Christ, and bring glory to Your name. In Him, Amen.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
— 1 Timothy 2:1–2

Prayer must be a priority, not a last resort. Hindi ibig sabihin, na kapag may kinakaharap na issue sa buhay ay mag-iisip muna agad ng solusyon, at kapag wala nang choice, tsaka pa lamang mananalangin sa Diyos.

The very reason why the apostle Paul’s opening statement is – “First of all,”
Bago ang lahat, unahin ang Diyos.

We are called to pray not only for ourselves and our own needs and wants, but also for everyone else —including those in authority, whether we agree with them or not.

It is easy to criticize leaders, but God calls us first to pray for them. Instead of allowing disagreement to produce anger or hatred, let it drive us to intercession.

Prayer acknowledges that God is sovereign over people and circumstances, and it allows us to seek not only personal blessings, but the welfare, peace, and salvation of society.

Pray for wisdom, justice, humility, and salvation for those in authority. A praying Christian can influence a nation – not through political power, but through dependence on the God who rules over all.

Lord, teach me to pray faithfully for all people, and especially for those in authority. Give our leaders wisdom, justice, and humility. Help me to live peacefully and godly, and use my prayers to advance Your purposes in our country and in the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
